I mean, are webmasters still making new tube sites?
Anyone here made a tube site lately?

Unless you are already well established, It is a waste of time and effort. I launched a couple of them a few of years ago and they can't get any traction. I think I am going to let them die off and concentrate more on my other sites that have traffic.

Tube sites, VR sites, dating sites, pharma sites, gambling sites.....any sites which just either recycle or sell shit. Consumer got wise to it by now. Tell you friend to make a good content and not join the "lemmings parade".

We have a tube site that we use for testing.

Bought it a few months back and it has doubled in traffic since purchase.

there are many people making new tubes and whole networks of tubes.
there are not many other possibilities to get big traffic.

but to start from zero is maybe not such a good idea.

I made a new tube and adwords was bringing enough traffic to make it worth the trouble. But since they blocked all porn it became kinda useless

It's all about your backlink budget :) But i suggest building niche tubes instead general as general tubes are competitive as fuck.

Tube sites, like most everything else in adult eventually becomes saturated and boring. I started one a couple years ago and yes the traffic increased, but it didn't convert. It was like hosting a party with free drinks and bragging about the number of people that attend..

If you have "big numbers", then you can still make some monies...
No one trade traffic anymore, so its hard to grow and populate a new site starting from zero

I have 3 WP tube sites on autopilot, traffic is around - 80 daily visits per site. but i don't do any ANY seo job for this. and i don't run any ads on this sites. just keep domain name for the future.

It's all about presentation, marketing and budgets. And Goals. Want to be like Pornhub? Forget about it. Want to be like Mad Thumbs? Doable but still work. Want to be like a zillion 1000 hits a day tubes? Doable.

Dude, Mad Thumbs is dead. The once great TGP site has been on autopilot for years now, no support, the design is ancient and they just collect some pennies it still generates.

Judging by their Alexa rank, they receive around 8 - 10k a day, which is nothing for a tube site.

Alexa 70k+ its more about 40k

If we are talking uniques per day, then I highly doubt it. I know paysites that do way more than that. Paysites, not free sites. This former TGP is totally abandoned, just like many others.

X-art has 13k Alexa and it is a paysite .. yes, a popular one, but still a paysite with no tube presence.

I don't believe MadThumbs receives more than 15k uniques a day nowadays.

Personally, I wouldn't add any new tubes to our upload list that are not below 3k Alexa. Waste of time.

Well you re proving my point (thank you). The question was does anyone start tubes these days and I said yes but be realistic. So as I said, Pornhub level no way, Mad Thumbs level is still achievable and anyone (almost) can do 1k daily or under.

And Alexa is an unreliable way of telling how much traffic a site gets. Very few (if any) paysites get 50K uniques a day.

you can start one. you need to do seo :2 cents::2 cents: the tgp template used over the years won't cut it(import and sit)

man that advice is on a whole different level of deep thinking.

pornhub level is not funny and not really a goal.
from that level on you need really big manpower and a few own lawyers.

you can reach "size" also with many small pieces.

there are a lot of tube-networks out there what are not in the focus but making a fortune.
at the end some of them are more profitable than the big names.

this question doesn't make sense at all as it all depends on your traffic.

I have a few shitty cam sites with low traffic that don't make anything at all. do I say cam sites are dead? nope... if you have real traffic, you will always make some money, no matter if it's a tube, cam site, dating...

I still miss the days webmasters trading traffic... It was easy to get big numbers on new sites

Cheaters and scammers fucked all that up so bad that nobody even wants to try it anymore.

Trading is still big but it is mostly done by russian webmasters and their forms are closed so not sure how to reach them to establish trade.

if you talking about sites what make money with CPM ads i would say THEY fucked it up.
because sending a user to 50 different sites with 20 banners each will produce 1000 views but still only ONE user. and after that they wondered why CPM prices went down that much.

as long as i am in the biz all this CJ crap was the worst traffic right after bots.

nobody who is able to generate traffic from search engines would use such traffic for trading - it would be like exchanging a ferrari for an old bicycle.

i do not talk about fake traffic - that´s another story.
i talk about traffic exchange in general. a user have only a limited buying power and value.
you can´t make this value bigger by sending him through traffic exchanges from one site to the other. the user value will be divided by all this sites.

simple maths helps to understand that.

but its really easy to find. just search for "porn tube networks" in google and you already find many of them.

away from that there are hundreds more networks what don´t want to be recognized as that.

there are even a few what are still working with simple embed codes on crappy wordpress sites and doing ok.

There are so many tubes site now you would have to have a really good niche idea and a great way to promote it and get traffic to it otherwise it would be a fail.

We have move to sites like that even as a way to earn as even tubes sites with traffic only make so much $'s.

It is almost like shitty 3rd world countries use vpn's so any US traffic mostly isn't US :( ha

I think "micro-niche" has a chance but the problem with such narrow niche is getting
enough volume of content.
