why the russians will dominate
A must see documentary
Thieves by law The Russian Mafia: what can't they do? After this insider's look into the world of, ahem, "hypothetical" crimes, it's pretty clear that the answer is nyet. Following the stories of three mafiosi-cum-businessmen, Thieves By Law paints a fascinating tableau of men that would make Tony Soprano cringe. Most intriguing, though, are their personal histories interwoven with the evolution of the Russian Mafia itself. Beginning in Stalin's gulags and slowly transforming into an international organization, the mafia and Code of Thieves have always directly correlated to the political struggles of the Soviet Union?reflecting society back to the government like a funhouse mirror. These men have been through bad times as well as good, persevering with the ammunition of street smarts, savvy, and loyalty to their code, and eventually transforming themselves from cunning crooks to shrewd businessmen. Through unprecedented access and a knack for asking all the right questions, director Alexander Gentelev shows us exactly what happens when a dark underbelly is flipped on its back: It slaps on some sunscreen, orders a Molotov cocktail, and soaks up those French Riviera rays?. --Ashley Havey More here http://www.tribecafilm.com/filmguide...film29108.html |
Russia just won the World Cup bid so that should rake them in some bucks too.

As a Russian, I fully endorse this thread, and if you don't vote for me for Miss GFY, just think what might happen to you!

The Mafia got their asses handed to them here in the US so I don't fear the Russian Mafia.
Besides, don't you have to be Italian to be in the mafia? |

of course you say you don't fear. You were comfortably sitting in your home in front of your computer when you wrote that. Now whether it is russian mafia or any other gang, wait until you have a gun pointed at your head... like everyone you will shit your pants... :2 cents: |

The Italians are the original gangsters that set the ground work for other ethnic groups. (excluding Asians)
I doubt the video is real, since they don't usually want people to know them. |
The most ruthless mafia in the world is the Russian mob.

oh wait It doesn't exist. Interpol told me so! In December 2009, Timur Lakhonin, the head of the Russian National Central Bureau of Interpol, stated: "Certainly, there is crime involving our former compatriots abroad, but there is no data suggesting that an organized structure of criminal groups comprising former Russians exists abroad".[6] Little Odessa, anyone? http://i968.photobucket.com/albums/a.../russian-1.jpg http://i161.photobucket.com/albums/t.../Russia-05.jpg |

Mafia is Mafia and it doesn't matter Russian, English, Italian get every country in the world and you get their mafia, well except Us there is every kind of it :D
|
grumpy... that's not why russians will dominate. That's why the country has always been in shit (since the start of history), is in shit and will be in shit.
And I'm saying that with being born in the USSR. |

Picking up a gun and killing someone to take their money or getting a small group of people together to do the same does not make one "mafia". Neither do prison tats, gold chains or a shitty attitude. BTW... one of the main Vore v Zkone is probably still in prison in the US - Japonchik. |

Wikipedia spells it like that:
The Mafia (also known as Cosa Nostra) is a criminal syndicate that emerged in the mid 19th century Sicily. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sicilian_Mafia My first time being right on this board - w0000000t! |

Eastern culture is very very different from western culture. You can't just take a communist system and flip it to caplitalism and expect business culture to easily assimilate. There is alot of shit going on over there right now, and has been for some time. The class divide and the crime seem pretty out of control and that's always a bad combo. I think if anything having a strong mafia / costa nostra over there would improve things, because that's not what they have now. Organized crime can in some ways be a blessing- it keeps small bands of disorganized theives and random thugs away from your business and away from your family.

russian mobsters are badass
