no surprise ...

Kiopa_Matt 12-12-2010 12:10 PM

What a shock, FOX news leans to the right? I always thought the folks at FOX News were liberals.

i just thought they were using reverse psychology...

IllTestYourGirls 12-12-2010 12:18 PM

They do lean right no shit? lol. But should they have been using the terms the president wanted? "Government option" is far closer to the truth than "public option".

Dvae 12-12-2010 12:29 PM

Calling it a"Government option" instead of "public option" is no different then calling a tax increase a "Revenue Enhancement".

FOX is not alone, they all do it.

yes, but that would have defeated the point of this post which was to just troll the Fox lovers...

so, mind your business.... :1orglaugh

Question: Is your father also your grandfather? - you're such a retarded inbred hick.

also you have by far the lamest name and avatar on this board :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Vendzilla 12-12-2010 12:40 PM

So is Fox doing something wrong?
They're number 1, remember that.

Slutboat isn't a lame name?

That's the saddest part. More Americans goto FOX for their news than any other outlet. :(

Agent 488 12-12-2010 12:52 PM

fox news is a symptom of the decline of empire.

The Demon 12-12-2010 12:55 PM

I'm sorry but watching slutboat calling any other human stupid is hilarious.

mcdonalds is number one too but everyone knows how shitty their food is.

biskoppen 12-12-2010 02:10 PM

lol, the danish TAX PAID media (our two main TV stations) is extremly left wing.. and our sitting government is right wing..

In the news they will always interview two with a left wing opinion and one (if any) with a right wing one.. they manipulate that all the freaking time

Because they're not allowed to have a real political opinion (because they're tax paid) they make ALOT of satire which brings out these left wing political views.. and when it's satire "it's just for fun".

Those two main TV stations in Denmark are corrupt as fuck - and why the sitting right wing government aint doing shit about it is beyond me.

America as a whole is central leaning right, been that way for some time.
Fox recognised that.
Until then most news agencies leaned left
That doesn't work well anymore
How many left leaning radio personalities have the following that Rush Limbaugh has?
How many people have the TV audience of Bill O'Reilly?

So why is Fox outperforming all other news broadcasts?
Marketing.

And the fact they're not even a news channel. It's an opinion channel, filled with tidbits of reality here and there.

dyna mo 12-12-2010 02:16 PM

we currently live in a fear based society. fox understands this and capitalizes on it better than any other news org.

Wazza 12-12-2010 02:25 PM

Some of us Aussies watch Fox News too

Papa Bear (Bill O'Reilly) is my idol...
Glenn Beck is priceless...
Can't watch Greta Van Susteren, her voice strips the paint off my walls...

No, MSNBC is like the liberal version of FOX. Or at least they try to be, but they're horrible at propoganda. Or at least nowhere near as good as FOX is at it.

For example, al-Jazeera. Now that's what I'd classify as a real news organization.

Amputate Your Head 12-12-2010 03:08 PM

it's all bullshit... MSNBC, Fox, etc.... if you're getting your "news" from mainstream media, you're living in a fantasy world created for ratings and spreading propaganda. :2 cents:

certainly you must be joking!

it's common knowledge al jazeera has an anti-u.s. bias. not to mention anti-egypt and elsewhere.

I watched MSNBC for 30 mintues and they talked about politics during most of that time and didn't mention Obama once. I figured they didn't want him to look bad.

there is only a few hours a day that is actually called news, the rest is opinion pieces. fox admits this. america sways back and forth constantly, no one is ever happy with whats going on no matter who is in power. i wonder when people will realize the two party system has the same people behind it, the corps. anyways there is only really one channel for all the archie bunker slobs waving flags and about a dozen for the for the so called welfare loving pot smoking taxaholics. its no surprise fox is number one. if it was the other way around, they most likely would not be.

I thought fox news was a fake news channel like the daily show

u-Bob 12-12-2010 03:59 PM

Name one mainstream media outlet that's fair and balanced :) :) :)

Bryan G 12-12-2010 04:11 PM

As a canadian, the fact that fox news is the most watched news channel speaks volumes about the general education of the american public. Anyone that relies on one news source for all their information is ridiculous. Try expanding your horizons and watch international news from all over the world. You might actually learn something.

cherrylula 12-12-2010 04:13 PM

Ouch, wikileaks PWNED, they should have been on that one. lol

Thanks for proving my point. Yes I am Canadian, this does not mean I just focus on canadian politics I like to educate myself on world politics. If you realised there is more to this world than the united states you might understand where I'm coming from.

Because it is number one does not mean that everyone or even anyone relies upon it for their singular source of news...and in fact Fox actually only has one news show and that is Shepard Smith's show which is on for one hour two times per day out of 24 hours...the other shows are commentary with talking heads presenting a conservative point of view.

:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

you need to do some research before you make that comment...

fox average viewer number is 1.9 million for the 8-12 spot..

o'reilly gets 2.9 mill for his show and so the other numbers are actually lower..

last i heard the US population was 310 million...

so less than 1% watch fox news on any given night...

I'm far from an elitist or bigoted. Its called having an open mind. Something republicans need to learn. I love america and most americans. I hate right wing assholes that think the only place in the world that matters is the usa. I travelled quite extensively around the world and the majority of ignorance I've come across is from the english and americans.

Well...the majority of Canadians that post on this board appear to be ignorant...CDSmith being about the only exception. And yes...you appear to be elitist and bigoted towards Americans just as most of the Canadians that post on this board.
