Reverse Engineer.

It's as simple as that. I know a lot of people are enraged by the amount of good information ruined because of the nature of this forum. Unfortunately, it's public so we lay in bed with the content thieves 24/7. So they know a lot of our techniques.. almost all of them except the ones that are only done by private companies. Since it doesn't look like they are locking this section down any time soon, let's just reverse the trend. Why don't we get our asses over to their forums and hangout areas and act as one of them? That way we can actually learn what they are doing and working on. This way we can put a stop to it.

A lot of what I see on here is outdated techniques that just don't work. It's easy to stop the petty theft of content, but realize that they are getting more sophisticated while we are just sitting here talking about how conversion rates are going down.

Moral of the story, step up to the plate and go to their territory to spy on them like they are doing to us. Oh, and one last thing, lock this damn section. I'm a firm believer it should be kept to people who either own content or people who are protecting it. We don't need any one else in here.

Pretty impressive stats. 31 million links is a lot.

I was aiming at preventing the recording and distribution of the content. Taking links down although very important, was not what I was aiming at.

Been hanging in their forums for years. Built up plenty of dossiers for our clients.

No shit?

I don't think it is that easy, there are countries where copyright theft is not a crime and there is nothing that can be done about it.

But it could get worse if people uploading from places where it is illegal to do so are not prosecuted. This isn't going away any time soon though...

I think that the mass charges against porn uploaders in South Korea was not trying to nail them for "copyright, but basically "handed their names" over to the police in a country where porn itself is actually illegal. :2 cents: :winkwink:

A lot of these 3rd world countries that don't actively enforce copyright, do have strict laws against porn! :error :321GFY
