Best news I have heard in a while. It was 80+ when I left Friday, and within a few hours I was in mid-30's to mid-40's weather. As soon as this fog lifts a little I am headed back to some warmth.

Heck, I may not even wait for the fog to lift . . . it may never happen.

cr4zy1van 01-16-2011 10:19 AM

CyberHustler 01-16-2011 11:24 AM

Why shovel snow when I can utilize the snowblower? Better than cutting grass... I love all 4 seasons.

NETbilling 01-16-2011 11:25 AM

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood...

I used to worry about comments like that motivating people to move here. Now I say come on down, unless you're broke. :thumbsup

junction 01-16-2011 12:12 PM

It's 21 with a wind chill of 16 w/ freezing rain on the way in my neck of the woods. At least everyone speaks English here.

Better for me, yes... For you? Obviously not.

I've been to socal, lived there for 2 years and hated it. It looks nice, but Florida looks nicer in my opinion. I'll just go there if I want palm trees and beaches.
:2 cents:

xxweekxx 01-16-2011 01:43 PM

florida sucks ass.. bugs.. humid as fuck.. rains every day for months on end.. why anyone would pick florida over california is beyond me..

this is pretty simple, if you have the cash to burn, SOCAL is the one of the best places to live in USA.. im looking outside my window now and i see people sailing, the sun is out, its 70F+, and im gonna go play some soccer and maybe end the day with some tennis..

goodluck in 20F

people that hate california almost always hate it because its EXPENSIVE, but if you can afford it, its fun..

why do u think we have the highest # of rich people here?? why do all the millionaires move here?? well its because they can drive their lambo with the top down all year round, and fuck shallow chics all day long.. they dont need a car for "snow"

i'd really love that but i wouldnt want to live there for various reasons. so i have high hopes in global warming :winkwink:

xxweekxx 01-16-2011 02:07 PM

i know man ive been anti cali all my life.. now i know why ppl hate it here.. its the $$

it costs me way more money to live here.. but i love the lifestyle/weather.. nothing like valet parking at every club/restaurant/mall..

Gas is also fckin expensive.. but life here is good ^_^

Rochard 01-16-2011 02:22 PM

It's only 48 right now at 1pm in Norcal (Sacramento).

I grew up and lived in NJ in the country; Every time it snowed we got snowed it and it would be a few days before the plows reached us at the top of the hill. We expected to be cut off. But it just seemed to so damn counter productive - It snows, go out and shovel, come in, put wood into the fireplace, deal without having power, go to bed, repeat. Fuck that.

I've only seen snow once in the past ten years and that's because I intentionally drove up North to see it. Otherwise, pass.

Buzz 01-16-2011 02:22 PM

I'm so fucking envyous!

it's 5F here :helpme

V_RocKs 01-16-2011 02:50 PM

Got ready to go outside... Walked about 12 ft from the door and realized I was way overdressed.

Scott McD 01-16-2011 02:56 PM

Been raining here solid for days, but i'm happy with that. Anything but the shitty snow and ice we had for weeks there.

I'll be happy if it keeps raining till the Spring...

xxweekxx 01-16-2011 02:57 PM

Vrocks you are in san diego right

I'm not in "the industry". I know a ton of people on this board live in California, but just not a fan. It is a great place to visit to get some sun, but just crazy down there. If I was uber rich, I'd probably live in Malibu though :)

Last time I spent some time in Cali, the power went out on a clear day. I was like, "WTF??" and my friend said that it was the government imposed "rolling black-outs" LOL.

I also like seasons, so a little bit of snow never bothers me.

But I am headed to Arizona to get away this upcoming weekend to get some sun :)

the power thing is BS and maybe one time thing. ive been here almost a year ive never lost power.. and yeah no need to live in malibu, save the extra $10k a month ud be paying on mortgage/rent there and use it to party/live it up..

arizona is a racist dump.. thank god i didnt move there

videobunch 01-16-2011 03:28 PM

I have been in San Diego now for 8 years and there is not a better place for weather except Hawaii. Yeah it may cost more but when you can go outside 355-360 days a year with no rain, it is well worth the extra money.

exactly my thoughts.. i love it here.. and you are right about the weather.. only MAYBE hawaii beats it.. no other place in the country has average highs of 70 and low of 60 all year round..

Even vegas and arizona have shitty cold winters.. not san diego :)

where do you live in SD

Nah, it's fine. This is nice. We still have seasons. It gets warm in the summer and cold in the winter. Rarely rains. Never snows. That's perfect for me.

Moving to South Beach Feb 1. I cannot wait to escape this cold once and for all. It has been hovering in the mid 20s here.

Right at the San Marcos and Carlsbad line. Exactly 5 miles from beach. You leave Carlsbad to get into my development.
