I hope not. I live in central PA, so I have to deal with half the idiots around here not shutting the fuck up about them.

Last time it was all "One for the thumb, baby! One for the thumb." I guess if they win it this year I can tell them to shove the ring up their ass.

I hope the SB is either GB vs. NJ (6 seed vs 6 seed) or Steelers/Bears (will be like watching war).

GB is going to beat the steelers for the SB. 6/1 odds on GB to win in casinos

NetHorse 01-17-2011 02:07 AM

Don't count out the Jets just yet, any team with a defense that is capable of stopping Brady and the Pats like they did tonight is a team capable of going all the way. People seem to overlook the Jets beat the Steelers, Colts and now Pats in the last half of this season.

Also, the Steelers made some uncharacteristic mistakes in the 1st half of that Ravens game even though they did win. Those could be game changers against the Jets or Bears / Packers in the SB.

As for the Packers, the Bears are at home with a defense that plays brutal when it comes to the Packers. It's one of the most heated rivalries in the NFL, then add super bowl implications and home field advantage to the mix. If anyone thinks the Bears are going to allow Rodgers to throw the ball like he did against the Falcons needs to rewind and look back at the last two times these teams met this season.

In my opinion, the next two games will be anything but predictable.

i think the jets have a good chance of beating the steelers, the way they dominated the cheatriots was a sight to behold even though they made some serious mistakes themselves.

the thing about chicago is this- i thought chicago was very good until i saw them play the cheatriots in an ICE bowl in CHICAGO, something they should have excelled in. After that 36-7 slaughter i realized the bears are very inconsistent. Against the Packers and the way they are playing right now i don't see them being able to do much. Rogers is the best quarterback playing in the NFL and his team is responding to that level.

Zuzana Designs 01-17-2011 06:21 AM

Go Bears.

96ukssob 01-17-2011 07:05 AM

the Packers suck. if they happen to get lucky and win against the bears, the Steelers/Jets will destroy them in the Superbowl

Steelers to win it all!
Grew up north of Pitt but moved out of the area, still a diehard fan.

I have to ask why you would follow a team that loses as much as the Eagles?

Not to rub it in but the difference between the Steelers and the Eagles is:

Question:

Do American Football fans have songs about the team they support?

If so, do they ever sing them at games?

If not, why not?

Just somthing i always notice when watching games...

My sig has an excerpt from the Philadelphia Eagle's fight song anthem "Fly Eagles Fly."

Here is the song in all its glory:

And here's a video about the "Philadelphia Eagles' Pep Band." I only watched a few minutes of it, but you can see people in the parking lot before games singing the fight song.

Oh I agree with you there man. That was a horrible performance by the Bears, but I'm glad it happened because the Bears changed a lot of aspects of their defensive play after that game.

Also, any team can put on a shitty performance on any given Sunday. If you want to see sadness, you could have watched the Packers lose to the Detroit Lions almost giving up their playoff hopes.

I think a lot of the spotlight is on Rodgers performance against the Falcons, but what people fail to realize is the Packers have been just as inconsistent as the Bears finishing a game behind us in the regular season.

that is true, the bears have adjusted and they really dismantled the seahawks which i didn't think would happen. i have a feeling this is going to be one hell of a game, i hope its the down to the last minute nail biter that it should be.

LOL. I dont think 33-36 completions is aweful. They are the hottest team in the playoffs right now and the bears are trash. They beat up a seahawk team which should not of been there in the first place. They would of lost to the saints. CUTLER mark my words is going to be his old self next week vs GB. 2 INT and they will lose like they did when they played at the end of the season. Steelers will beat the jets. There defense alone is better and there offense is better.

Being a Packer fan my whole life I never take the Bears for granted. Regardless.. Packers/Bears for the NFC championship is what the NFL is all about. Classic.
