I'm a massive cycling fan and watch the Tour de France yearly and this saddens me.. I like Lance Armstrong but if its true I will will cheated...

If you are really a fan you know it's true and it doesn't matter, dope or no dope he still rode every mile of every tour and did it faster than every other guy in the field.

The thing is, everybody knows that all the top cyclists were juicing. Therefore, he didn't have any unfair advantage over the others. If everybody is doing it, you have to do it as well in order to be able to compete on the same terms.

If you know anyone who is into competitive cycling they all agree that pretty much ALL of the top teams dope to some degree. Armstrongs guilt is only new news to those outside the sport.

np Derek, I'm a fan, perhaps not as much as you are, I cheered him on many a time. It would be dissappointing to find out that he didnt win on his own merit. The rumours keep persisting, so where there is smoke, there is fire :2 cents:

the evidence/facts are pretty vague

They keep blood samples, should be pretty straightforward , test them , if he is doped , suspend him , otherwise they should stop accusing him of shit that is impossible to prove.

I agree, prove it at the time, or STFU! Most of these people who are interviewed, are competitors or fallen by the wayside ex team mates. The whole sport is rife with doping, as someone else has said, let them use the shit, may the best dope win:winkwink:

I follow Lance on twitter, he tweets when he gets a surprise visit from the various anti-doping agencies. They hit this guy all the time, they follow him wherever he is..they followed him to Aspen for his xmas holiday w/ the family and showed up at his door at like midnight 2 days before xmas.
The UCI just sampled him this week while he's in Australia...they are relentless.
Personally I wouldn't tolerate that kind of intrusion into my life, its beyond excessive and looks like a witch hunt in my opinion. :2 cents:

Many of the accusations are positive tests that couldn't be replicated. He's dirty, he's always been dirty.

He's still an American hero.

The tests aren't like a fucking drug store pregnancy test with a plus or minus in a little window. The drugs that cyclists take aren't steroids that can be easily detected, they are red blood cell boosters and blood thickeners that increase oxygen capacity.

Anyway, this shit only matters to NON cycling fans. Drugs have been a part of cycling since the beginning. Riders would carry water bottles of cognac for a little 'boost' on tough stages.

He is a super human. Just deal with it.
