Your Business Card Is Crap
|
|
He still uses business cards? That's so 1980's.
Honestly, I toss out big off shape cards like that, almost the moment after I get them. Then again, each night everyones card goes in the trash - just easier than telling them I don't care. |
mines not :P

That guy is a douchebag. I wouldn't allow him to hand me his card.
|
what a guy,
what a passion, what a power in what he says., i like him. guaran fuckin tee - |
Well, pop-up books revel the mentality of most businessmen.
|
ha ha ha awesome, but I would take the card and toss it. Just to take $4 from his pocket. lol
|
That guy fucking rules! He whoops the rest of you losers. Look at that fucking card MINT! id like to have beers with this dude just to hear about business cards.
You people are losers. This guy is a fucking PIMP, look at that card fold out WAMMO! fucking crowds. Do you draw crowds? NOPE. |
"It doesn't fit in a Roladex."
Because it belongs in the bin. LOL Douchebag and too full of himself. Only a moron or totally self obsessed narcissistic fool, would boast about taking 25 years to design a business card. Handing out business cards is the worse way of getting business. Even if they do cost $4 each. A business card is given at the beginning or end of a meeting and what you say during that meeting is what counts. |

Drawing crowds doesn't = doing business. If you need to drawer a crowd to do business stop selling crap and learn to sell 1-1. |
Checkmate, motherfucker |

Those two magazines you sold your content to in 1936 existed by selling to crowds. By your comment, you think they should have been pimps that sent the girl to the individual customer's doorstep. Your current prices demonstrate that you think your content is worthless. If you were a halfway decent salesman, you'd sell it for much more by creating perceived value (because there are no real benefits of your content). You should think before you speak. Free up some of that old mind of yours and stop thinking about the Manwin employee to toilet ratio and think more about business in 2011. Oh yeah and that business card sucks. If that guy isn't bumping and getting his info directly into his prospects cell phone then he isn't doing anything at all. BUMP for success! :1orglaugh |

what this guy is saying is pretty hilarious but he does bring up some valid points. If your card is lame and boring nobody will remember who gave it to them and that is counter-productive to what its purpose is. I personally don't hand out business cards to people unless one is asked of me. I'll talk about what we are doing, some new stuff going on with the program, some strategies or how the leafs can't make a decent playoff run and if they want my contact after that or not is up to them.
I still remember Vegas Ken handing me a card with his animated face on it years ago. Why? because his stood out from the rest. |

Best card I ever got in this business was from Scott, the metal sleazy dream card was extremely memorable. Plus all the players back in the day would think of him each time they used it to cut lines of blow!

vcards are the way to go. Add my to your phone and computer address box immediately. ..
Paper is so 2010. |
Have you seen the episode of Fantasy Factory this guy was on?
Was a good one |

But then look at the business acumen of some here. epitome I'm retired and the price we sell at is the price the business is now willing to pay for any content. Remember all the money made during the content blow outs period. Or the money Zeemasters made selling CDs of overs from porn shoots? Discounting and selling over and over and over again makes a lot more than selling a set and video to a sponsor once. When we were shooting we weren't shooting for lame ass sponsors who thought $500 for a solo girl set and a video was a good price. Like so many of the content providers then and today shoot for. Yes these guys work for a price and a deal we blew off. :1orglaugh |
Was that a sketch from a comedy show?
Who wants a fold out business card, is his target market 5 year olds? |
What that guy was doing on his video was amusing. But not business sense.
If you want someone to remember you after a business meeting there's only one way to do it. Sell him on something he needs. Don't do that and give him a flashy card at the end and a business man will thinks your an inflated ego. Give him the card before you said anything and he is thinking that before you say a word. But on a board that worships "Bros" I guess substance isn't that important. |

Every single person I give the card to. Now, that's an awesome business card :) |

The key to making money is selling people something they DO NOT need. When you are able to do both is when you know how to market. |
"took me 25 years to design it" :1orglaugh
|
I met him in person.
The one thing I remember from his seminar is that he accidently put in a USB thumb drive, and it contain photos of some girl in a bikini, while his wife was in the audience. He had to move fast to remove the pictures from his computer... |

you're fucking with us? no way LOL |

I thought this was from some comedy skit or something, didn't figure the guy was real at least - that makes it even worse. |
25 years to develop THAT? wow, he is slow

I really like the Bentley b-cards

"Passion For Profit" :Oh crap...
|
This guy is an idiot. GUARANTEED.
Your business card doesn't have to be a pop-up book to be impressive and stand out. I'd be pissed if a guy handed me a card like that 'cause it wouldn't fit in my wallet or even my pocket, let alone my business card holder. My business cards are standard size and I always get compliments on them because I took the time to design them myself (front and back) and put a ton of effort in. You don't need some oversized index card pop-up book thingy to wow people. |
