superbowl half time show
wow... all I can say is....... what's that word I'm looking for? oh yeah... FOOLISH. it's really hard to think a Packers or Steelers fan would want to see any shit like that, unfucking believable :2 cents:
|
I love Fergieeeeeeee
|
I don't have any friggin channel here where I can watch it.

autotune the superbowl

It was boiled shit.

I like the blackeyed peas records for what they are. But as a live "band"...what total garbage.
I know that last year The Who didn't sound so good. But I just read that Roger Daltry had just had surgery for throat cancer a couple of weeks before they did that gig (he is now 100% and getting ready for a big Who tour) I'd much rather see the bands like U2, The Stones, Paul McCartney, Tom Petty...you know REAL bands that can actually play and sing and put on a show without the need for autotune and chintzy lame crap like we saw tonight. But the game kicked ass! |

Slash's brief appearance was the highlight.
Other than that it was pure torture. |

Man you all sound old.
I liked it. Flashy and futuristic. I want one of her in leather on a pedestal. |

This is why:
http://www.mediabuyerplanner.com/upl...hics-jan11.gif 81% Male = Fergie 75% Age 18-34 / 79% African American = Black Eyed Peas / Usher 72% Age 35-54 = A splash of G&R Now I understand why you guys can't sell anything. |

yeah, it was a load of shit. they're trying to appeal to a younger audience perhaps and with music being total shit these days, what do you expect.

Fergie looked good, but then again, she always looks good. It was an uninspired performance, and I generally like will.i.am. I bet Axl was about to have a nuclear meltdown when she was destroying Sweet Child. Usher outdid BEP, and it didn't seem like he did much signing. |
Thought it was pretty boring

I'm glad I'm not slightly compelled (or curious) to watch that crap ...
|
Screw the younger audience. Their tastes have already destroyed what was left of music. Bring back Springsteen, the Who, Tom Petty. You know, credible artists.. Legends...
|
John Fogerty would of been a great pic... The Event Planners for this SuperBowl should be fired :2 cents:

I still think the BlackEyedPeas albums sound great. The concept is great as well.
But "live"? It just wasn't happening. The AutoTune voice with Will I Am was just horrible. And like a lot of songs that try to slide in some "rap", those parts just came off like a bunch of people yelling at each other. Fergie can sing pretty good. And she looks great. Which is what makes her a star. But I'm sure...no, I'm POSITIVE that a lot of their fans were scratching their heads and wondering why they couldn't sound anywhere like they do on the records. I mean...it wasn't like a live band trying to re-produce a studio sound. This was 4 people singing over a recorded track for God's sake. Karaoke on a grand scale. And they still blew it. |

They should get rid of those horrible halftime shows. They are always awful.
|
I miss the days(I wasn't even born yet) when there was no technology to change your voice or the sound of your music, when bands actually HAD to have talent.. Damn the 50s-60s music that made me expect too much from the later generations.

Now THAT was horrible. :1orglaugh |
I thought is was the worst halftime show I had ever seen.

Am I the only one who thought Katy Perry would be the best choice? Seriously - I began to think - maybe the commercials weren't all that bad now

I would have to agree, the half time show stunk.....but the game was great!
And how about Christina Aguilera's blunder of the National Anthem. Not only did she screw it up, she sounded like crap. |
