Another thing to consider when talking ratios..
Let's say I am doing 1:1000 with a sponsor sending traffic from banners in galleries. Then let's say I want to put their tour in a popup to get some more sales, my ratio suddenly hits numbers like 1:4000. But I am making more money and more sales with the same amount of traffic than I was at 1:1000.
Or let's say you are linking a sponsor with a text link "Join Hot Teens For $29.95/mo" vs "Click Here For Hot Teens". Obviously the first one is going to get less clicks and a better ratio.
So I guess it really is pointless to tell someone what your ratio is with a sponsor because your promo methods differ greatly and that could be causing your ratios to look better than theirs, not just the sponsors site.
Thankfully most of the sponsors I promote use NATS so I can stick certain ratio hurting promo methods (like putting a tour in a popup) in a campaign and remove those stats from the picture and get a better idea of what my real ratio is.
