HTC Desire 2 - Leaked

I cant fault my HTC Desire (now that my battery is sorted) and was not really a fan of the HD and Z as it felt like a build up to the next version so i thought i would wait it out! It looks like my patience has paid off. MWC starts this time next week so we should see what new handsets will be with us this year... cant wait!!!

Zorgman 02-07-2011 08:23 PM

I have a HTC Desire as well. It's a great phone. Anything they can do to improve it will be good news.

Dappz 02-07-2011 10:06 PM

this is cool and great :)

cooldude7 02-07-2011 10:17 PM

Harmon 02-07-2011 10:19 PM

I never can understand why everybody gets a fucking hard on over a phone. It's a fucking cell phone. Who fucking cares. Whoopdee doo, you can go to Facebook and Twitter on the fucking thing. Who gives a shit?

I don't really cream my jeans over them, but the smart phones really help keep up on work when you're out and about.

scubadiver626 02-07-2011 11:29 PM

Look for a 4.3" screen or bigger. Makes a massive diffrerence in viewability. Why I love my htc evo.

NetHorse 02-07-2011 11:34 PM

Meh a 4.3inch screen is useless if the resolution and quality is garbage. If I'm going to jam a big plastic turd in my pocket the screen better be phenomenal.

Super AMOLED screens and higher resolutions FTW. It's like comparing a 65inch rear projection TV from 1997 to a top of the line 50inch LED LCD TV.

As for that Desire 2, I don't see anything all that great there. The Bionic will have a dual core, high resolution super AMOLED screen, 1gb of ram and gingerbread 3.0

Kinda agree. I love my Droid, but these phones are all starting to be interchangeable. They're all pretty good, and you can't wrong usually, no matter which one you pick.

You say that but if you look at all the economies around the world they are struggling but people MUST have the best phones and will pay to get them! It's a market that is not seeing the same decline as others so keep an open mind :2 cents:

If I was the owner of a live cam site, I would be a getting a fucking hard on at the moment with the imminant announcement of HD phones with glasses free 3D displays and 4G connectivitiy.

Having a screen that big is very cool but i have always be apprehensive about where i carry it. does it feel too much in your pocket or do you keep it in your laptop bag?

Am thinking most feel the same as size of the device is important when iyour carrying it all day... so any feedback would be great :winkwink:

Agreed who ever takes the lead now will be the live cam company of the future! :2 cents:

Anyone have the Desire HD? I'm thinking of replacing my iPhone with it as I'm sick and tired of the apple crap

Great point... Duel Core is becoming more common and i bet we will see lots more at MWC. I hope with all the processing power they have suitable battery's to support it as when the 1G chips come out the battery life on these handsets was poor to say the least!

Thanks for the link to a solid review :thumbsup

So will the new devices showcasing cause prices to drop on existing devices on the market?

DWB 02-08-2011 07:51 AM

I have the HTC Aria. My first smart phone.

It's cool but for the feel and touch of a phone, I prefer my old Nokia. Not a fan of touch screens. I used to be able to send SMS messages in the dark, eyes closed, by feel only. Can't do that on a touch screen.

czarina 02-08-2011 08:12 AM

I had an HTC a few months back and it broke in 2 weeks flat, hated it

_Richard_ 02-08-2011 10:43 AM

went from htc to blackberry, and now i can't go back to htc fast enough.

CurrentlySober 02-08-2011 10:48 AM

I cant afford a phone...

edgeprod 02-08-2011 11:02 AM

I wish it had a few more details. I'm always hopping from phone to phone for my personal phone. For work, I have a Blackberry Tour, and for development/mobile purposes I have an iPhone, but the phone I use for personal use is up for grabs by the next flashy thing, LOL!

Scott McD 02-08-2011 11:08 AM

Been thinking of getting the HTC Desire for a while now. Considered an iPhone but decided i'm not going down that route...

I think they will drop as they will want to make room for new stock... MWC may not prove to be the release date for all the handsets but it will give us all a sneak preview as to what's coming later in the year!

Yeah its not an easy transition to a full touch screen... i guess that's one of the reasons the BBs have held firm in the market. Have you looked at the HTC Desire Z (have been some issues with the hinge). Check out this HTC concept phone http://www.concept-phones.com/htc/ht...e-transformer/

I would go for the original as well unless you like the QWERTY then check out the Z but its a little chunky and the HD is a little to large me :2 cents:

CamChameleon 02-09-2011 09:45 AM

I found some more pics of what looks to be the HTC Desire 2 plus there are some references to this being the flagship HTC phone the Saga. I like my physical buttons on the Desire Original so is a shame to see them go and notice the 3 Mics!

Rochard 02-09-2011 10:10 AM

At this point cell phones are pretty much all the same. As long as I have a slide out keyboard I'm happy.

Zorgman 02-09-2011 10:36 AM

I prefer the physical buttons too that's why I went for the Desire and not the Desire HD.
