Possible targets for Republican budget cuts

Why only 32 billion? Well at least Barry started talking to the business people about generating jobs.

So Obama's budget cuts come out on valentines day?

Didn't he say in that interview that he wanted to cut 100 billion?

So if the budget deficit is 1.342 trillion for 2010, then 100 billion would be about 7% of that? Not much of a dent is it?

and 100 billion is a mere 14% of the 700 billion Bush originally bailed out to his wall street cronies.

maybe they should the names of congress men and women into a hat. Each week when nothing gets done they draw a name from the hat, and that person has to go on a weekend hunting trip with Dick Cheney.

The Treasury said that following the repayment, total repayments and other income from banks that were provided bailout funds via TARP is $243 billion, nearly equal to the $245 billion disbursed to banks. The Treasury estimates that bank programs within TARP will result in a profit of about $20 billion to taxpayers
