Wow The UFC Pre-Sale in Toronto Sold Out In Like 5 Minutes

Unreal! We are certainly in the wrong business LOL! My buddies picked us up 4 seats in the 200 level and 4 seats on the floor. I tried to but they were pretty much all gone within 5 min! Crazy expensive but then again this is Toronto LOL!

moeloubani 02-10-2011 08:50 AM

Georges St Pierre vs. Jake Shields Fight will take place in Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario on April 30, 2011. I enjoyed watching the interview with Georges St Pierre on Feb 8, 2011.

Shap 02-10-2011 09:12 AM

I was sleeping but got 4 tickets too thanks to a friend :)

Dwreck 02-10-2011 09:32 AM

Thank you for posting this Mark. I really want to go but after taking to Fuzebox about his experience at past events it really seems like getting nose bleeds wouldn't be worth it. I had no idea it would be that expensive. Oh well...

You can't deny the energy in that place would be insane!

Are you going?

Anthony 02-10-2011 09:33 AM

GSP vs Shields will probably be FOTY.

TheStout 02-10-2011 10:02 AM

I got 6 tix. Let me know if anyone needs 2 them as I only need 4. Section 230 Row 11.

The only way for the UFC to be more popular in Canada is for them to find a way to put GSP on skates... :2 cents:

Jman 02-10-2011 11:13 AM

What's crazy is someone paying $800 to go see a cage fight LOL ;-)

With that said the tockets prices was brought to you by the one and only French Quebec Pepper GSP ;-)

Oui OUI!!!

BlackCrayon 02-10-2011 11:16 AM

unless you are right up close, i don't see the appeal. it will just be a couple of somewhat blurry dudes getting gay with each other.

Watching this fight live will be awesome. I'm jealous.

I like MMA, but it's true... unless you are ringside, you can't see much of anything.

TheStout 02-10-2011 01:17 PM

Lucky for us we have one of the worlds largest screens aka Jumbotron :)

AzteK 02-10-2011 01:18 PM

what's this a Canadian bitch slap contest?

fuzebox 02-10-2011 01:19 PM

How much were the floor seats?

bronco67 02-10-2011 01:23 PM

That's probably a new world ticket buying record for tapout shirt-wearin, over-tatted douches.

czarina 02-10-2011 01:23 PM

you mean people rather see two guys smacking each other than buying porn? this world is going to the dogs

$800 according to the map GTS posted. I'm not cheap, but that's insane. Probably tax on top of that also.

I guess it is one way to get rid of the scalpers. How much can you really mark up an $800 floor seat? Maybe the first 5 rows you MIGHT make something, but it looks like UFC is pricing to perfection.

GTS Mark 02-10-2011 06:00 PM

There are guys selling floor seats for 2k a pop on craigslist right now. 42k tix sold in like 10-20 min INSANE!!

fuzebox 02-10-2011 09:08 PM

$800 would have been a good price, $2k is normal for floor seats (you almost always have to buy from the scalpers).

irwin99 02-14-2011 05:46 PM

Unless its the first couple rows, I doubt they will get near $2k. Alot of people ask alot, but reality is that scalpers will get killed on $800 face value tickets most of the time. The rolling stones started this perfect pricing years ago.

GTS Mark 02-14-2011 05:59 PM

One of my friends bought 4 of the $800 tickets and sold them for a really decent profit the next day. :)
