Endless reasons. I have spent thousands on content, have used it in my own promo material for design ads etc...

Ive prolly bought more than half pauls library lol I started buying content as a designer way back during Phoenix Content guys, used the images thousands of times since then.

ive also spent thousands on stock photos lol designers buy a lot of shit.... content ... fonts, software... etc...

Paul.. good luck with the sale.. no beef.. but some thoughts & comments:
To use content for design, you need hot shiny stuff.. otherwise it beats the purpose of having something not attractive to be used in design to attract clientele in the first place..

Secondly if you use images in design, and you don't have those images in members area, and they woudln't because you are not offering a re-sell license here, but simply design use, this means in the end false advertising imo.. and BAD user experience that you keep pounding about.. because user joins to see the girl used in design and he doesn't find her in members area..

but then again.. if people buy.. bless u :)
