Nice, very dynamic composition.

JP-pornshooter 02-22-2011 05:57 PM

nice stuff, i can say without doubt that lingerie and pantyhose especially if what i prefer to shoot myself.
love the shot from below and up (sans that recessed light though it does add a little "real'ness" to the image).

Why did she choose a masculine name for what I assume is her stage name? Poor thing if that's the name her parents gave her.

NaughtyRob 02-22-2011 06:44 PM

Great stuff as always. Especially like this pic and the effect you have going on with it, is that basically the high ISO that's given you that or have you added a bit of that yourself?

TeenCat 02-23-2011 10:08 AM

NaughtyRob 02-23-2011 01:09 PM

Just out of curiosity, with the ISO set so high were you shooting with the camera on a tripod?

ISO controls the sensitivity of the CCD (like the film sensitivity to light/grain in the olden days), it typically is not influenced by how steady you can hold the camera.
(pretty sure you knew this just testing Deano right?)

marcop 02-23-2011 04:10 PM

Very nice, Dean... I really like the way you used the available light.

TheDA 02-23-2011 04:14 PM

One additional question if you don't mind. Do you shoot everything on the 5d MKII?

NaughtyRob 02-23-2011 04:15 PM

I knew that but thought it actually did have some effect on steadiness. I am a novice for sure. :-)

See my pic below.... thats what I was going for... old school film look. Its ok but I need more practice. Thats the fun part about this job. :-)

JP-pornshooter 02-23-2011 04:54 PM

nice shot Robert but i am afraid that girl will make up for almost any photographer flaws..
btw, you are doing the "light by northfacing window light"?

Higher ISO means you turn up the "gain" on the CCD, same as in video the photo comes to appear more grain and can loose a little "crispness".
modern digital slr cameras handle high ISO really well and shooters like Deano would never shoot at ISO800 unless he really felt confident this would produce a sharp and crisp shot.
i bet a few years ago Deans comfort zone was max ISO400 perhaps even less.

Spunky 02-23-2011 04:59 PM

I fap to the lady with black stockings

NaughtyRob 02-23-2011 05:00 PM

True she would. :-)
and the light by north facing window yes.

you just proved you are another GWC, buy a real Camera like the Canon 5D MkII and a IS L Lens

Then there is the Nikon D3s and the same caliber Lens as well for that system, the D3s beats out the Canon in High iso noise

fatfoo 02-23-2011 07:36 PM

She is beautiful.

NaughtyRob 02-23-2011 08:18 PM

My good camera is being repaired. I don't give a fuck what you think about me anyway. I don't need a Canon 5D MKII to shoot web content. I do what I do and it works.

No man, I never shoot on a tripod. I move around a lot when I shoot and shooting on a tripod just wouldn't work for me. Basically I figure out what's the largest aperture setting that I'm comfortable with (depending on what lens I'm using) and then I select a shutter speed that is fast enough to ward off motion blur and from there it's a matter of selecting whatever ISO setting will give me a properly exposed picture.

These pictures were shot at ISO 800 or 1600 and run through Topaz Denoise to reduce the digital noise caused by high ISO. On the last picture, I decided to introduce some noise back into the picture because I just thought it looked better that way :winkwink:

The 5D Mark II does a beautiful job with high ISO settings but I don't think it can compete with the Nikon cameras in that area. But using high ISO along with a noise reduction photoshop plugin, I think the results are acceptable :thumbsup

I've been shooting with older model Canon 5D for the last few years. Just switched over to 5D Mark II in the last few weeks.
