He sends us around 500 hits a day and makes at LEAST 1 sale (goes up to 3 a day sometimes)

I'm not saying he's making plenty of money, but that's a traffic issue.

I'm so confused here. If I had a sponsor that only converted for me at 1:500 they would be on my watch list for dumping.

I'm not trying to be mean but well simply suggesting that maybe you should ask around what good conversions really are.

I mean heck, DVD sales are still converting better than that for me. Last month I think it was like 1:342 and if DVD sales can convert like that - and everyone knows those sales have taken a massive nosedive, what does that really say about your site who is bragging that you have guys who convert at 1:1000 and 1:500?

My scripts are 100% suited for affiliates to promote sponsors sites with sponsors approved content. That is why we have a central database, so sponsors can add their content for affiliates to use.

I can not be responsible for stupid affiliates stealing content.

1:500 seems pretty good. Some people complain about ratios like 1:3000.

i once got 1:40 from seo traffic., its all about traffic , where its coming from.

online casino ratios are usually 50:1 sometimes better and sometimes worse depending on the program.

1:500 is not that good. It's nice, but for these kind of sites it's nothing special. Many guys in this niche can do 1:350 or better.

I'm one of those people. The only reason I think 1:500 is good is because every new site/program I try really doesn't convert (1:5000+). The ones that do convert do so at 1:1500.

Trust me, if I found a few sites that convert 1:350 or better you could bet your ass I'd be pushing most of my traffic there. But where are they?

You have to look at CTR and conversion rates together though. She might convert 1:500 ("Join BLAHBLAH here for only $15 a month!") and you at 1:1500 ("Visit BLAH BLAH for more porn!") but if your CTR is 3 times higher with your text links then it's the same. Same with traffic sources.

Also many sponsors do convert at 1:500 overall for "non-affiliate" traffic because they are getting all the repeat customers who cancel and join again a month later as well as all the sales affiliates don't get due to tracking issues. The type in traffic is better as well because people are interested from the start.
