it's common knowledge that protocol dictates a military option be put on paper to respond to ANY world event.

Libya is a major oil producer, Tunisia and Egypt not so much :winkwink:

and bahrain had an US military base.. don't hear much about that revolution anymore

How was Iraq or Afghanistan a "disaster"? Seems to me like the government of Iraq is no longer in power, and it's the same in Afghanistan. The United States rolled in, and quickly took out both governments. Don't be fooled into believing that they are bleeding us dry, because they aren't.

The US isn't having financial problems because of Iraq and Afghanistan. It's because of a world wide recession.

And the funniest thing I keep hearing is about how our oil is going up because of Libya. Bullshit. Libya produces less than 2% of the world's oil, ninety-five percent of which goes to Europe. On top of that, the Saudi's have announced they'll gladly pick up the slack.

We need to something in Africa. All of Africa has been hit with decades of civil war, AIDS, lack of government, starvation... And we just sit by and watch it happen.

If the African's had been left alone they would be fine. Africa has a lot of resources, Western companies are desperate to make a grab on them. There are often obstacles for the Western companies, such as villages on top of the resources, populations who require the food that the Western companies want to grab and sell over here. For example, look at what PetrolChina did after they discovered oil in Darfur, funded partly by Warren Buffet at the time they managed to remove the ancient Nubian people from their land, leaving millions in refugee camps and hundreds of thousands dead. Unfortunatley for PetroChina and Warren Buffet, too many people in the West found out the truth of what was going on, most of the time we don't find out the true story and we are told it's internal.

Because of this there has been a huge attempt to depopulate Africa, the biggest attempt was by putting HIV inside African vaccines, the plan went wrong as it takes far too long to kill, so the people are still alive for many years after becoming infected.

Generally the civil wars there are when Western powers are financing a coup. For example, in Nigeria the Christians where previously in power, but the Christians wouldn't do what the West told them. The Christians live in the area that has the resources. The British put the Muslims in control of Nigeria, as the Muslims always did what they were told especially if there was money handed over. Now the Muslims rule the Christians in Nigeria and are happy to give up the resources from the Christian area to Western powers. The Muslims have all of the weapons, so if the Christians try to fight back they get crushed. A know a lot of Nigerian people, that's how I know this, I knew one who lived in a region where they tried to fight back, he said there was a massacre; a hammer was used to crack an egg.

When this shit blew up, he should have sent an aircraft carrier to wait off the coast. Let them have their revolution and keep out of it, but if they start bombing their own people, start shooting down their planes. Make is plain and clear that any pilot that gets in a plane and doesn't want to shoot at their own people, we have a place for them to land and sit it out.

But we don't need to take control of it, we can't afford it. If this keeps growing the way it's been, peace in the middle east might actually happen someday, it's the only way it will happen
