What do reputable Wordpress guys charge

For standard install and integration of existing web theme? I'm not really looking to hire somebody here, I'm more looking for a reasonable price point to compare custom development work against.

So what is reasonable to pay for a ground up install and integration of existing head/footer/theme?

If you already have the files and they only need to be slightly adapted, i wouldn't imagine much.

Yeah I don't imagine it's very expensive. Maybe $200?

Mainstream ecommerce.

hmm, not completely sure on what you need and what files you say you have, but lets say:
- 200$ (and up) for a unique theme design / theme code
- you'll need 50-100$ for wp ecommerce plugins, paid to script providers
- 50$ (and up) to customize plugins and change their code if client needs dictate it

If you have the theme, bought ecommerce plugins and just need to install it somewhere, that shouldn't be expensive at all, since its all basicly a file upload and a few clicks.

Whats a site I can look at some of your stuff?

TheDoc 03-18-2011 12:06 AM

$150-$250 for a free theme setup, basic junk ready or about $50 (or so) more for a pre-created theme.

$250-$500 for basic design, higher the price prettier the design and more plugins. $500-$750 with more custom layouts, layout changes for plugins, many of the total ready solutions fall in this range.

Anything above $1000 is just that more custom, ground up type stuff, complex or very unique in some way. The $2500+ range is api and other backend integrations and those goes up greatly.

With your request... I would expect to be charged another $50-100 extra or more if the site is complex. Working with an already active site (if that's what you mean) does add to the time spent to unscrew various things.

$1500

If lower than that, you're in for trouble .

candyflip 03-18-2011 05:29 AM

$40 per hour

That's the easiest number I have been able to throw out in a situation like this.

It really depends. Integrating a theme isn't nearly as simple as chopping up a photoshop file and tossing it into a wordpress theme. There's potentially a lot of coding to be done for content placement, and having things show up where you want them.

Now, if it's just installing wordpress and installing a wordpress theme, then you're looking at pennies.

All in all, we kind of need more info ><
