Looks like a millionaire's Saturday night ride rather than something created after an apocalypse. Is this film intended to be a reboot?

To be clear the car pictured is not necessarily going to be in the new movie. It is just one of a couple concept designs by Ford for Top Gear.

In the video below from the link posted by Vendzilla, the director indicates that all the cars in the new movie will be designed from wrecks from the past.

this makes me MAD

hey apparently The A Team movie was a blast!

I love the responses here. Even if the car was going to be used in the movie, I love how people look at something preproduction and instantly start bashing it.

Small brains, people. Small brains.

That's bullshit, I know one of the guys who has built most of the mad max cars and not one single one look like that. They have all been built to fit in with the theme of the previous movies.

Have you even seen the movies? The first one had a 1973 Ford Falcon Coupe, and all other vehicles were typical of that period (muscle cars and motorcycles). The second movie had the same cars, except they were all falling apart and modified by the freaks in the desert to use as killing machines. The last intallment had Max driving a trash heap around pulled by camels.

How can this vehicle, pre-production or not, fit into that series at all, in any way? Unless it has absolutely nothing to do with the original series, which is why most people are disgusted.

I have been following this production for years now, even since the fury road script and all I can say is that I have the up most confidence in George Miller, with him involved I imagine an amazing film true stunts and little to no CGI. I only wish Mel would give it a go one more time, the world could use a little Max.
