this is fucking insane awesome technology! i've been intermittently following this since the 1st launch a year ago. it's basically an orbiting spy plane. it can be maneuvered quickly to get it to the spot it needs to be to intel.

it is a mini space shuttle, it takes off like a rocket and lands like a plane, can stay in space for 9 months at a time.

it's quite small compared to that red cone..

It's currently in orbit and can be seen with the naked eye from some locations and times.

I love this piece of technology, but would like to know what it is doing in space, if it is doing something with satelites or if this itself has some monitoring capabilities...who knows.
