warning: strongbox / bettercgi
It saddens me that I have to go to the forums with this problem, as I have worked with Ray and strongbox for years. But at this point, I see no option.
I paid for strongbox upgrade installations back at the end of January for 8 sites, as of today they are not yet done. I tried to contact Ray and Ali again and again, via email and ICQ, but they are no longer responding. My last response from them on March 4th was: "I'm not ignoring you....I'm sorry about this issue." Since then, I have sent quite a few emails and have not heard anything back. I still have not had the strongbox upgrade installations either. I am now requesting that my payment be returned. As of this point, I have to put out a VERY STRONG WARNING against doing any business with BetterCGI / StrongBox as they are MIA and have ripped me off. I hope that this issue will be resolved quickly and I will of course post an update in this thread once it is resolved. |

Sorry to hear, I know several people that had used them for a while (including sologirlcontent above, for example)...hopefully, you will get all of this resolved!

Yes, it is very surprising. I have worked with Ray for the better part of 10 years, since when I was running my own web hosting company. I have referred countless clients to him, who have purchased his scripts. I have also personally purchased his scripts for over 50 of my own paysites.
This is why it saddens me to have to do this, but I am no longer getting responses and I am out hundreds of dollars. |
Obviously something out of the normal is going on. He has a great track records.
Not sure I would have brought this to the boards over "hundreds of dollars" but good luck to you sir.. |
Luke, since your whole problem was that you weren't getting email even sent from your own server,
and apparently you haven't received mail from us, perhaps it would be best that I call you or try to reach you on ICQ. I see it's about 4:30 AM your time, so I'll try calling in five hours. I'm a little confused by your post and why you'd say you hadn't heard from us since March 4th. I know the problem we were helping you solve was that you weren't getting some emails, and you said that was solved, but you've REPLIED to our emails since March 4th. For example, on March 19th you sent us this: Quote:

Weird, I bought a copy of Throttlebox last week and the next day it was installed... Hope you get it worked out
