Imagine the Internet without a Login button
Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg had to backtrack quickly from earlier plans about shared logins in the pursuit of a seamless user experience of the Internet. Privacy concerns took some of the winds out of the sales of that particular initiative.
Still, the Holy Grail of an "Internet without a login button" is being pursued hard by quite a few companies and consortiums. Here's an awesome article that explores the PROMISE of this idea and highlights creative solutions to get around the PRIVACY issue.

Everywhere you go, the web knows who you are, what you are doing, where you are, and it adapts based on what it knows about you. The kicker is no server anywhere needs to know who you are. Only your browser, on your machine, will ever store any private details about you, and it will be up to you to decide which sites you share that with. Today at Kynetx Impact Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, Kynetx made that much more a reality with a new browser extension that runs off the Kynetx platform.
