Joinpage design article
Interesting article about Guidelines Of E-Commerce Checkout Design.
Nice to bear in mind when creating join pages. http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2011...eckout-design/ |

One thing I always do is provide content next to my pay forms. This keeps the user involved while entering their credit card number. Keep telling them why they are paying, what they get, why they are special.
All call to actions should all be descriptive: "I'm ready! Ship my product!" "Get instant access!" etc etc. Also the majority of users dont care about 128bit SSSL/ 256 bit SSL etc. they just want to feel the form is "secure". You want to continually remind them on a join form you are a "trusted" source. |
Marking this for later looks good :)

Great article. Our payment processors should read this!

Very good article, although limited to forms only and some of the mentioned examples are just pure nitpicking to fill space. All in all, very good points. And althought around 5% of what adult pages join pages need, it's an important 5% so to speak

On a similar note, the Verotel join page is a good improvement. Shame the affiliate backend is still absolute shambles. |
