Can anyone recommend a good Tube platform?
 

Hey all, I'm jumping on the Tube bandwagon...just because I can.
I was hoping to get some feedback and/or recommendations about any good Tube platforms or video players.

The best I've seen seems to be Tube8.com so far. Just seems to be the quickest and cleanest I've come across.

Any thoughts?

Take a look at www.mechbunny.com Konrad has everything you need. We have done 100's of tubes with his script over the years and are running a special together for a complete tube solution.

I've already tried building one with mechbunny and it wasn't that great at all for me...but thanks for the suggestion!

I am seeing an excellent growth with Smart Tube Pro.

I also noticed TubeAce and AdultScriptPro. Any thoughts on those guys?

There are sure a lot of different tube softwares out there. Many have been mentioned in the thread so far. I've worked with mechbunny before - it's a comfortable software to work with. I was entering a lot of categories and text descriptions into the script.

I like MechBunny myself, but if you can share some of the reasons that you don't like MB, it may help others with their recommendations.

I used MechBunny for this site and it seems to be pretty low quality so far.
Video playback is not so great, I can't seem to scroll/skip through bits of the video, it always takes forever for the video to start playing...little things like that.

To be totally honest, I dont know if MechBunny is to blame...im sure it could be a number of other technical reason that I may not be considering.

I don't experience any of those problems. Just clicking on your link and going to your site took an unusual amount of time to load, what are you running this on server wise?

here's another endorsement for Mechbunny. Very solid product, and flawless after sale support from Konrad. Most expensive item in my license portfolio and worth every penny.

True dat. daKonrad is top notch and leader of the pack.

SmartTubePro is a solid second.

I also like Clip-Share for my secondary tubes where I want to truly focus on user interactions, and encourage uploads. Based on the feedback of the members, it seems to be a preference to them on ease of use.

what is most lighter script out there, you manage uploads and encodings and script add tuhmbs etc?

I don't know what you are using on body.com, but it's not my script. If it is, it's been very heavily modified. The url structure is different, the thumb file structure is different, the rating is different, the player is different, the admin area is not where it should be, you've got the player swapped out for god knows what because it's not loading, etc

If it IS a modified version, it evidently seems for the worse. They seem to have removed my url format (/videos/video-title-goes-here-12345.html) and changed it to (/shots/watch/912).

I do recall installing on body.com quite some time ago, but this isn't what I installed on here. I will be more then happy to install an updated version for you. Some staff of yours did email me a few weeks ago that they would have some questions, and then again today with 3 questions, but I can't really answer anything if this in fact is my script and it has been modified to this extent by a third party.

Edit: Player seems to be JW player, whereas mechbunny has used a custom player for nearly 2 years now.

The reason your streaming is so slow is your server. I can barely get 23-25kbytes/sec download speed from your server, and you really need at least 100k/sec or so to be able to stream a video. Wowza as godsmack mentioned in this case, won't help. Perhaps you should contact your host or change to a different one. I can give you a few recommendations if you contact me on icq or email.
