After countless trips to Miami and Vegas, I will finally be travelling to a US city that I have never been to and look forward to checking out:)

I was just there less than 15 hours ago, hardly time to miss it. :upsidedow

But to be honest, my grandmother offered me her home there once and I turned it down. I love visiting there, but I would never live there.

There is a lot to see and do, but the best stuff is not in the tourist areas. How much time do you have?

i lived in the bay area for 10+ years, 1st thing i'd do if i were visiting is hit my favorite burrito joint south of market, then head straight to napa valley and go wine tasting.

One week, towards the end of June. Plenty of time to explore lol

Give a shout, we'll meet up! Baddog is right, the best stuff is not the tourist areas at all...

i seriously think you would do yourself a disservice by not hitting several of the tourist spots the bay area has to offer, it's a unique area. alcatraz, cable cars, fisherman's wharf, lombard street, marin headlands- that's fun stuff!

He can do that in a day. I'd rent a car and cruise Hwy 1 north and south. Wine tasting is a great idea too.

yup, i agree. i'd do a cable car ride from market street to fisherman's wharf, hit the buena vista for drinks, mosey up the wharf, catch a boat to alcatraz, maybe do the hike around the island they have now. what a blast! :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

BD, did you see the bay bridge project on this trip? i wonder how it's coming along? i'd like to see that for sure.
