Dr Who fans - R.I.P. Elisabeth Sladen aka Sarah Jane Smith
Sad news for sci fi geeks such as myself. I am a Sarah Jayne and I was born in 1976 to a sci fi geek mother. She has admitted that my name selection was partially down to the character. Which, is indeed a sad way to pick a kid's name but since I became a Dr. Who fan later in life it turned out okay.
Good night to the best assistant of them all. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-13137674 |

her timing/interaction with the kids on that show was very impressive, she carried them so subtlely most people wouldn't even notice. |
She was the first woman I ever loved. OK, I was eight - but she was the one.

Interesting, I didnt know who she was til last night, when I caught a season 2 epi of Doctor Who on Netflix. I remember thinking 'this must be a throwback from the earlier series'... How odd is that?

was ok show if you were hi. other than that it sucked baby pig ballz

damn that sucks, she was definitely my first dr. who hottie attraction...i always wondered if Tom Baker boinked her.
When the first Dr. Who convention (i think in the U.S.) was held in los angeles, i went and saw Baker give his press greeting, of which he was 2 hours late. He was slightly ripped and was carrying a rather large glass with a celery stalk in it;) |
I am pretty sure he is always slightly ripped. Man, when he goes the geek world will be a mess.

thats really sad. she was definatly one of the iconic dr who assistants
