How long since you quit?

Six years myself, congratulations with your accomplishment it's definitely not easy at first.

I'm not counting ...

I never marked the date that I truly quit, but it's been a couple of years now for sure.

About 14 years, cold turkey.

5 years and my lungs thank me every day.

Still a huge pull if I'm extremely happy or sad. Now I'm trying to get someone to quit - an ex smoker is really the worst :thumbsup

congratzz guys seen alot of people leave this earth smoking

3 packs a day from age 16-21 then cold turkey. I still rememeber the amazing amount of black tar you cough up a MONTH later.

cigs are bad f'n news.. smoke anything but cigs..

cigs are a vasoconstrictor.. pot is a vasodiolator.. a major reason why one kills ya and one doesnt. Not to mention the ton of tar in ciggy tobacco.

It will be 10 years in August.

Think I read somewhere it takes 10 - 15 years of being smoke free for your cancer risk to return to that of a non-smoker. Note that being smoke free probably includes being out of smoke filled environments.

I used to count the years/months to the exact day. I really forgot when I actually quit though it was at least 10 years ago. I quit before my son was born and hes 9 at the moment. I quit cold turkey as well. I havent smoked a cig or puffed on one since that day. I did however try out an ecig when I was drunk as a skunk one night..... I hope that doesnt count :thumbsup

An year and a half and I don't miss it.

9 yrs this mothers day coming! Fuck I gained like 20 pounds but I feel great and fuck like a champ .. smoking is for cock smokers ... LOL

BUT .. i'll smoke a nice Romeo & Juliet #2 ( 2 per month ) with a nice glass of Italian wine.
