Internet Marketing Morals?

Do you even worry about it? I see so much blog spam, social media spam, comment spam for alll kinds of stuff. Does anyone even worry about it? Anything to get a backlink or traffic?

Interesting question

While I do not really see the long term value of spamming (of any kind especially nonsensical spamming) I myself prefer to build slowly with sustainability.

Also morals might be determined to some extent by the society you live in. Living in a western country with a functioning legal system does not even get me thinking in the direction of any questionable activites because it is very likely that at some point I'd have to pay for it.

Then again if I lived in some corrupt 3rd world country who knows? If making a couple hundred dollars a month would allow for comfortable living compared to rest of society it might be tempting.

It always amazes me seeing the criminal energy that some returning (gfy) scammers muster, for one living in a civilized country and knowing full well that at some point they will pay for their actions. Also they go to such great lenghts developing new characters and schemes to steal, con, and deceive.

If all that effort and talent was put in to a legit and honest business they would be raking it in on a long term basis.

I think I got sidetracked a little from the original topic but meh

Based on the sheer volume of it on the internet as a whole, I would say plenty of people are sleeping well at night without a care in the world, much less worrying about it.
:2 cents:

It depends on your comfort level and mindset, IM are saints compared to wall street players.

Face to face 95% of internet business owners wouldn't have the balls to do what they do.

Morals are a personal thing.

I use a range of blackhat tools that give me an edge, and yes I will even damage my competition if I think it gives me a leg up. It's no different than in the offline world where you are constantly trying to get a leg up on your competition. I won't do anything illegal, but I also have no intention of leaving money on the table.

Face-to-face they would have never started.
Selling 'naked people fucking' to 'horny people' ain't all that.
"Success" has been in shoving traffic numbers, not marketing skills by any means.

Very well put.

If you have standards, bring those to the table as assets. Like-minded people will appreciate the gesture if it is sincere.
