^^^^^Not mine - but Damn Good^^^^^ I do most of my reading these days online, and my news bookmarks are voluminous and much more diverse than what I read in print. In my personal bathroom, there can usually be found Wired, Details, Rolling Stone, and a few art and video magazines like Creative Cow, along with Nation and Mother Jones. In the Guest bathroom the reading materials are more diverse. I have a small bookshelf with things like a bunch of Uncle John's Bathroom Readers, Almanac's, some big coffee table books (Whole Earth Catalog, etc), and then some of my favorite books from over the years, that can be borrowed. Included are Johnny Got His Gun, Siddhartha, Silent Spring, Hitchhikers Guide, Steal This Book, works by Steinbeck and Sartre, and various anthologies of Doonesbury, Bloom County, Dilbert, and a huge stash of Mad magazines and books, with a dash of humor (National Lampoon), High Times, People's History, and erotica (Anais Nin, The Olympia Reader, and the High Risk Anthology of Forbidden Writings) thrown in. People have been known to spend long periods of time in my bathrooms... :helpme :stoned ADG |
None. I stopped buying magazines when RSS came out.
I buy some golf magazines and a few random ones from Bookmans every few months. They range from 25 cents to a dollar for new copies, I use them mostly for research so spending less than subscribing to them is a bonus.
I don't read any major magazines online... but I do subscribe to a few hundred blogs ranging from web help, politics, to tech. |
None... the internet is all i need, and the industry i work in, reaks of all those subjects.

If i do it's usually a gaming one... |
The Economist
Entertainment weekly is about the only one right now. The only reason I sub'd was to help out a friends son who was selling them to raise money.
I enjoyed Maxim magazine. Karen O was on the back of the magazine a few months ago. She was advertising wild tea.
i subscribe shit
For reasons I don't understand, we started getting Rolling Stone recently. At first I was like "whatever". But now I'm finding that I like RS. It has articles on the old shit I like, nu shit that keeps me "hip" (or as hip as I can be at my age), and also has some interesting articles about off topic stuff too.
Otherwise I read books. Right now I'm reading a book by the guy who took over the FBI after Hoover died - which brings us into Watergate. I have a stack of books waiting to be read. |
I used to subscribe to about 50 magazines but now I just get the Saturday Wall St Journal Weekend edition from the office building next door.
Ill grab a copy of digital arts magazine once in a while it it looks good, that's about it.
I used to get that every month but now I do the same.
