Videos for Android Help!!!

I am moving towards getting videos going for mobile. I have the iphone going. It was actually very easy.

But Android, which I thought was easy, is being a pain in the ass.

I can play a video, MP4, on the Android, if I copy and past to the SD card.

But I can't play it from a url, in a web browser.

I have used sornenson squeeze to make the video that can play on the phone from copy and paste.

I have access to ffmpeg as well. I was also going to test out the wowza server. Would that help any?

Any ideas, thoughts?

is the video encoded .h264? You might be using an odd codec.

I simply render the .h264 mp4 in Premiere Pro and make it useable with the IPhone in the Video settings. Plays on everything (I have a DroidX)

For android, why not convert the videos to OGG/OGV and WEBM while your at it?

Ended up putting RockPlayer on my phone to play streaming vids.

going ot have to upgrade ffmpeg for webm. And then, so little documentation on it, it still seems kinda new.

Still trying for the mp4. I know it can be done, just can't figure out why.

We are going to try to use mp4box to help out the pseudo streaming. Thanks to natnet support for installing all sorts of shit for me!
