What is a decent month on Clips4Sale

What is a decent earning month $ wise on Clips4Sale, is it worth the input

Martin 05-18-2011 11:13 AM

Depends on how popular your content is..

BVF 05-18-2011 11:13 AM

anything past $0 with no upfront costs to upload your already shot content is a 100% profit.

fatfoo 05-18-2011 11:15 AM

It would be nice to be able to make several thousand dollars every month.

misshappy 05-18-2011 11:18 AM

curious of this also....

ParlourCash Karl 05-18-2011 11:21 AM

We have a few stores on Clips4Sale, one month they do OK next is shit. There does not seem to be a pattern on what you put up, what do others class as an OK month and is it consistent.

Internet User 05-18-2011 11:24 AM

Clips4Sale train is pretty much dead.

what more can I possibly say?

Barefootsies 05-18-2011 11:32 AM

There are a lot of factors that play into it.

1. Type of Content
2. Consistency of Updates
3. How You Update

In short, there are many variable that play into the final answer. Some are making $40,000.00 a month, do not even bother with pay sites, and spend ALL of their time promoting their clip stores only. Others tend to focus on the pay site, and clip4sale money is just extra cash.

Understandable on your qoute, but an hour of your day not being as fruitful as spending it on something that does give a decent return on your time is money and time lost. We have more than one store and it does take time to upload and write a story to the clip for each store, just wondering what is classed as a decent return on a store updating regularly for a month

Jack Sparrow 05-18-2011 11:42 AM

Start by telling us what you make on it now ;)

Thanks for the reply, we do tend to focus more on the pay sites and use clips as extra cash, some months are far better than others, we do update regularly and am just trying to establish some sort of concistency on the content and return on time spent updating.

Only if you don't value your time.

Well, for me right now I am following something that goes like this.

1. Process the Videos While I Sleep Day 1 (i.e. Sat).
2. Upload the Clips via FTP While I Sleep Day 2 (i.e. Sun).
3. Schedule the Daily Update(s) Same Day. Cut & Paste Description from Spreadsheet.

Right now I only am bothering with a single store, and it takes me 5-15 minutes to deal with in MY ACTUAL WORK TIME daily. The rest is done while I sleep and by software programs. It is making my mortgage payment easily enough consistently for 15 minutes worth of work, Monday - Friday.

You forgot the time you spend promoting the store / building traffic.

Updating is the easiest part. :2 cents:

I don't spend an hour a day...I may spend an hour a MONTH..

If that's the case, I could've uploaded an update to my clip store in the same time it took you to post this. I guarantee in the long run, I'll make more money posting clips on C4S than I will posting posts on gfy.

Incorrect. I do not spend any time promoting my store.

Unless you are referring to the 30 seconds I spend putting it into signatures, profiles, and inserting the banner into the rotation across my different targeted niche sites. Which already existed from years of being a webmaster. Nothing I built specifically to promote a clip store.

However, as I said previously... some actually spend all of their time working the clip store ONLY angle, and do not piss around with pay sites. Others focus on the PAY SITES and C4S is just extra money. I am the latter.

Sabby 05-18-2011 04:28 PM

Theres money on c4s... as with anything else... what you get out is what u put in.

Thats what I mean.. the most important thing is traffic. That is the hardest part.

Fenris Wolf 05-18-2011 04:49 PM

Question to clip store owners. How do you set your price points?

If you schedule your updates throughout the day correctly, you should have 300-1000+ UV of READY TO PURCHASE customers coming into your store on that alone without any additional promotion. Send out a newsletter, and you will get even more depending on the number of members or emails you have.

For my own example, how many people do you think are clicking signatures and banners throughout the day? Most of my sales and purchases come from the daily update schedule and/or newsletter. Which you need to do correctly for the maximum exposure.

As I have said many times, there is a correct way to work a clip store.

I leave mine to the default (i.e. 5 minutes = $5.99) . If you use Clips.com, I believe they are something like .25-50ct per minute. Although you can tweak that if you like.

emmanuelle 05-19-2011 07:43 AM

People I know had the #19 position and were making $15k/month off tickle videos a while back. That should give you a frame of reference.

There's more to be gained from c4s than just the cheque. You get exposure and branding, which creates trust and a greater liklihood of them joining your paysites.

Before c4s killed refer.ccbill...., I was able to see exactly how many members c4s sent me through direct links and banners. Now that they have tightened things up some, I can no longer prove the relationship, however I do know that when I am lax on updating my stores, my site memberships drop.

Footsie- I'd love a peek at that spreadsheet layout. (icq 64614011)

btw- I update each store once/week. I've noticed that when I update more frequently, sales do not go up much. Would anybody else care to share their experiences?

We only use clips4sale right now, how do clips and clips4sale compare over a period of a month

marlboroack 05-19-2011 08:52 AM

You can still profit off clips4sale, i heard it was pretty shot now.

The Porn Nerd 05-19-2011 10:16 AM

If you have fetish videos you can kill on C4S; regular everyday "porn" does shit.

Unless you're selling actual shit, that is (scat). :D

Yeah but you probably need 100 updates a day in order to keep the store in the "recently updated" list. The store after update stays in there for about 10 minutes.. :Oh crap

If that's the way you are trying to do updates,.... to stay on the top of that recent updates list all day long with XX,XXX clip stores updating..... It's no wonder you have no faith.

LMFAO!

How else you can keep yourself in the list if not updates through the day? I am not sure what you mean, the section is busy as hell.. all day.

You claimed that updates are the way to get extra traffic, I assumed it was thanks to the "recently updated" section.. is that wrong?

emmanuelle 05-20-2011 07:06 AM

Try aiming for being at the top of your category on a regular basis. Forget the front page.

I just checked and I am on the top of "New studios" and on the position #20 or so for "recently updated studios" in the category. Looks like the category is just not that popular. :Oh crap
