Social Engine

Any Social Engine users here ? If so what are your thoughts on the platform. I have a couple of Dolphin based sites I am thinking of migrating to Social Engine based.

Bump, any Social Engine users want to comment on the product ?

Been doing some work with it... I suppose it's one of the better ones out there but as far as I'm concerned it's bloated and slow...

I'd really like more feeback if anyone has first hand experience with this platform.

I've got it on a small network with 2000 members. It does the job we need it to do just fine one you set it up. One big drawback (for me anyways) was setting up fields for the sign-up process.

We needed to specify country and then if U.S., the state - you have to go in and add 1 field option per state and then manually type them 1x1 and God help you if you're adding the 43rd state when you notice you forgot to add Arkansas to the list!

Could be easier to template as well.

AdultKing 05-27-2011 06:39 PM

Is there a decent aftermarket template repository anywhere for it ? The standard theme looks 1999.

Not that I know of but I did stop looking awhile back.
