NKOTB Tour
 

I was always curious what a band can make on tour, even if marginally successful so I started poking around. Some of these concerts have very long legs (i.e. seem to go on 3 quarters of the year) and it would appear to be where the artist makes the most of their money.

Even today, NKOTB Tour is still BANKING. Even on a 5 way split it's decent cheddar.

What kind of sad ass people are going to NKOTB gigs? I mean, by now NKOTB should be nothing more than an embarassing chapter in your adolesence, what is wrong with your brain that compels a person to still go see that bullshit? haha.

I could have said Whitesnake, Poison, R.Kelly or any number of other bands of 80's or 90's lore and your reply would have been the same regardless and no more on point then the last.

Which was in regards to older artists who are still banking on their tours.

I know a couple of people who went when they played in Dallas. It was more of a joke/nostalgia thing.

you couldn't be more wrong, I have a certain level of respect for each of those acts. well, maybe not so much with poison.

I hope that's the reason behind all these other ticket sales. The thought of NKOTB still having serious fans these days kinda creeps me out a little.

Yet none of your replies are in regards to older acts still making money on their tours.

Whether you consider them a joke, or washed up whatever doesn't much matter in regards to the thread. That was not what I my O.P. was talking about. NKOTB was only selling out 65% of their shows, and still making a decent chunk o' change. I was surprised that some of these older acts are still making as much money as they do, and based on the long length of their tours, it appears that is where they make the most of their money.

Although, I guess the same can be said of these breaking artists who tour for long period of time. I read some article where Sugarland, which is a fairly big country act, made most of their money on their tours as well. I guess being in those artist slave contracts really do not pay in the beginning.

The fact of the matter is that they, the NKOTB, being talentless losers as you like to make them out to be, make more in one show than you have in your entire life. True story.

You could only wish that you had a tenth of the cash those guys make in a day.
