The situation in the US has gone way out of hand. President Obama is trying is best and gave a really good speech yesterday explaining the problem. Then that fucking cocksucker BONER gave his own speech (while trying to look presidential) and basically slammed everything Obama said and shit on everything Obama is trying to do.

Obama needs force the debt ceiling to be raised, and then needs to get Boner and the rest of those pricks arrested for crimes against the USA.

Daaaaaaaaaamn straight.

Boner is fucking around and trying to feel all self-important with this thing. He's messing around with the economy and not to mention the dollar is falling to record lows.

Boehner needs stop spending from being raised, and then needs to get Obama and the rest of those pricks arrested for crimes against the USA.

Boehner is playing politics. The republicans said their number one goal is to make Obama a one term president.When asked if that was still their main goal the other Mitch McConnell said it was. So far being the party of No has worked for them so they are riding it out. Boehner wants a short term debt ceiling lift so that we can have this debate again in 2012 during the election so they can paint Obama as the pro-tax raises guy.

There was a great article about how Boehner is playing with fire. If things backfire on them it could cost the republicans badly in 2012.

The republicans have no real interest in lowering spending. They never do. They always spend just as much if not more than the democrats. Here is the reality:

Ronald Reagan raised the debt ceiling 17 times
George Bush raised the debt ceiling 5 times
Bill Clinton raised the debt ceiling 4 times
George W Bush raised the debt ceiling 7 times

This means out of the last 33 raises of the debt ceiling 29 of them have been by republicans. If they wanted to cut spending they have had plenty of chances and clearly have not.

On that note the democrats haven't shown any interest in cutting spending either, but at least in their defense they don't run on a platform of spending cuts.

They need to increase taxes but more importantly cut on spending. It needs to be a combination of the two things taken together.

Otherwise, the USA is gonna hit the debt limit again and very soon. If they dont fix this then a default is coming inevitably at some point whether they raise the limit or not. This should be obvious as daylight to most people.

Yeah, Obama's agenda has worked so well so far, 9.2% unemployed and not paying taxes to run the government

Yep. Both parties want to cut around 3 trillion over the next 10 years. That is like removing the piece of parsley from your plate of food. They have to look at everything and make cuts everywhere, but that is likely never going to happen. They will do just enough to get by on and get them re-elected.

Agreed...they need to cut 3 trillion THIS year to even start to just get out of debt even slightly.
