Haven't been to theater in a long time but will make the trip for this one.

Sure, looks good -- but where the hell are all those apes coming from in San Francisco? It's raining fucking monkeys. There aren't enough apes there to take over a Starbucks.

I just can't get past that, unless it somehow will make sense in the context of the movie. Anyway, I'm going because I love the WETA digital effects, and Andy Serkis is acting as the main ape.

Looks impresive.

Let's face it, the first one back in the early 70's was huge, and even with it's rather crappy ape face 'effects' it blew a lot of people away. The sequel however, fell far short of the first. They really should have left it at that but of course they had to milk it for all it was worth with 3 more that were largely a waste of time.

The remake from 8 or 10 years ago with Mark Walberg was MAYBE worth a look... once. I haven't been at all motivated to see it again. So like someone said, let's hope they finally got it right with this new one.

But I won't be holding my breath on that.

i think in the story line...man takes the apes as servants...so they are everywhere...basically 1 monkey for each person
