Amsterdam hotel rooms

Hey... I'm looking to book a room for the webmaster access show but are the regular rooms sold out already?

emjay 07-27-2011 11:46 PM

Sometimes the whole place gets pretty much booked up. Must book today.

you could try somewhere outside of amsterdam...of course I don't think you want that but it's a possibility

If I go to the London show, it will be last minute and I will just stay nearby, for a much cheaper price...

Why not do the same in HamsterJam?

Hey thanks for the email Bjorn... just responded.

I'm a man of convenience... I don't care how small the room is. I want to be right where everyone else is. I'm there to do business and see Amsterdam and just need a place to sleep and keep my stuff.

Thats actually a strange, yet interesting question, for me, as a UK 'Dweller'

You see, I have never really thought about it that way. When I used to go back and forth via Virgin Atlantic, I always flew from Heathrow... As that was the airport they fklew out of...

However, If you were in the Valley, and I was in Chicago, you could legitimately suggest that I flew to Burbank, as opposed to LAX, cause internal flights can do that...

However, as long as its [Airport Name] + London - Then you'll be OK... Its more a case of where te flight you are on lands, than a choice of airports per se?

If you get what I mean LOL

Heathrow is a pain in the arse but it is the closest to the city - get the Heathrow Express (about £30 but get the round trip and save some money) to Paddington and then the Underground or taxi to the hotel.

I've looked at other hotels around Bloomsbury for the same dates and they're expensive so there may be something else going on. I couldn't find anything of the Radisson quality within walking distance for that rate.

Amsterdam, I usually stay at a non-show hotel as I know the city well and there are great deals (and you can walk anywhere there).

I got a flat for five nights about five minutes walking distance to the hotel. Cheaper to do five nights there than three nights at the Radisson.

I did that once and stayed at the Radisson near the airport. Nice hotel and big rooms, very American style however, the 1 hour taxi ride into town or the 1 1/2 hours if I did the train, it was not something I would ever do again.
