Hurrr derrrp. They're not specifically hidden from view, but their functionality is hidden inside something else. It wouldn't be unusual to find smoke detectors and PIR detectors in a residence... and those from another country are less likely to wonder about technology. Pretty creepy if it's not a stunt.

Those " smoke detectors " had the same cable you hook up to your TV hooked up to them and then running down the outside of the wall into the carpet or along the base board into the locked closet.

Most if not all smoke detectors are battery operated.

That house was rigged like it was a Voyeur Dorm where the occupants would know they were being filmed. My bet is the guy and two girls are all
