Isn't there a story in the bible about a son who has sex with his mother? If I recall correctly he murders his own father and then realizes it's his mother he's having sex with.
If a man sleeps with his father's wife... both him and his father's wife is to be put to death. (Leviticus 20:11) From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incest_in_the_Bible): The Holiness Code of Leviticus elaborates in detail the relationships it regards as incestuous unions,[4] and two chapters later specifies punishments for specific incestuous unions, but this second list of unions is much shorter than the first;[5] textual scholars regard these two lists as having originally been independent documents, bound together at a later point.[6][7][8] The Deuteronomic Code, gives a yet more simple list of forbidden relationships - just parent's daughter (including sister), father's wife (including mother), and mother-in-law. ... In Genesis 35:22, Jacob's firstborn son Reuben commits incest by sleeping with his father's concubine, Bilhah. From the Bible, Leviticus 18: 7 "Don't violate your father by having sex with your mother. She is your mother. Don't have sex with her. 8 "Don't have sex with your father's wife. That violates your father. 9 "Don't have sex with your sister, whether she's your father's daughter or your mother's, whether she was born in the same house or elsewhere. So to be a mother fucker, you also become cursed and violating your own father and dragging shame over yourself and disgrace to you whole family. Very, very shameful and might also result in death or to be expelled from the community. |
Is somebody really on GFY quoting the Bible?

- John Doe, You mother fucker! - that means John appears to have sex with his own mother, not with mother of someone else. They are close relatives, we have incest involved. That's not normal and thus the guy feels himself insulted. If we accept the expression literally, then most of the men in world are mother fuckers, for having sex with women, who will give birth to their children, or women who are already mothers. |
Its supposed to mean you fuck your own mother.

the english word origin dates back to the plantation. properly pronounced it's muthafucka not motherfucker, and it is a generic word for white folks since the 1600s. but don't take my word for it:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/defin...m=motherfucker Motherfucker (also contracted forms mother and mofo and, phonetically, in African-American vernacular speech, muthafucka) is a common insult and profanity in the English language and is widely considered obscene and inappropriate. By virtue of its history of usage, motherfucker generally is regarded as African-American in origin. Literally, it accuses one of violating, perhaps, the oldest taboo known to humankind, incest. However, as with most epithets, its use is pejorative, rather than literal. Historically, it was a vicious taunt, a damning insult -- and a veiled allusion to the destruction of black male familial hegemony under chattel slavery. The power of the word was that it attacked one's sense of manhood. Regardless of its historical or cultural context, however, many consider motherfucker the mother of all curse words. |

I quoted the words of Christ earlier today on here on GFY. Actually you yourself probably quoted scripture at some point. Something like "a leopard can't change it's spots" Jeremiah 13:23. Much of common wisdom comes straight from the bible though you may not realize it when you say "there's a time and place for everything" Eccl 3:1 When you say "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" that's a Bible quote as is "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword" Matthew 26:52 |
