if we fall, it will not be because of my generation.

I am 24 years old, a father and a husband. I dedicate myself to giving my family everything I never had. I am a highschool drop out and blame no one but myself for that. I am a spawn of a generation who failed just like the generation before them. Like the rest of mankind I am.supposed to have a one track mind and be bearded along with the rest of the sheep.

There is however a problem that scares both the sheep and the wolf. My generation has more free thinkers then any before our time
to we are the indigo children and we will not conform to what has brought this nation to nothing but weakness.

Despite your medications, your tv shows, your jaiks, your separation of race and class, and continued cuts to racers you cannot ans will not shut us up.

It has been our elders who have put us here. It was because of there inability to speak out or question what is going. It is you who tells us we are lazy and no nothing yet it was your lack of education to understand who you were electing to government and who you continue to follow the same policies that put us here.

Mutt 08-08-2011 10:24 PM

dude if it was your generation in power we'd literally be back in the stone age, XBox, facebook, fake tanning, beer pong, living with mommy and daddy at 26 is hardly a skillset to brag about.

you are the most coddled, over parented, weakest, dumbest generation in history. you make the Baby Boomers look like Vikings.

and of course i don't mean all of the 20 somethings - there are a ton of them fighting in war - but i hear even the military has a hard time with a lot of them.

That ain't no fuckin' shit. These young motherfuckers are the most spoiled least responsible human beings in the history of mankind as a whole. And none of them knows how to produce fuck all. All any of them know how to do is play video games and joke about bodily functions while the ones who are of some intelligence can't do anything more productive than shuffle paper around or order the dumber ones to run the fucking machines.

You're far too late.. and you may come up with a solution... hell EVERY ONE OF YOU has a solution.. but let me know when you get to the implementation stage :winkwink:

HINT: Admitting that something or anything can ever be your fault at all "um, like, EVAR" would be a good start.

Really, we are the morons who have turned this country into the mess it has become. Our generation may not fit in the failing system we continue to use, which by the way is half of what generations before ours had.

You misjudge what you do not understand. The people who do not conform are not accepted and therefore do not for in society. They become a problem. Do yourself and stop and hear what the problem has to say. Not as uneducated as you may think.

Actually he is right. Whatever may become of his generation, we have not seen it yet. It is the babyboomers and my generation that have blindly handed over everything we had to the corporate elites. They would probably fuck up too, but they won't get the chance.

Half of the people here insulting the 20 somethings, voted for and/or supported the Reagan and Bush administrations. The single largest enablers of theft and oppression in modern western history by far. It is hard to imagine America ever being able to fix the damage those people did. Especially since we'll always have to deal with the 40% of the people who have the reactionary birth defect. They used to be called evangelical christians, now I think they like to be called teabaggers. Ten years from now it will be something else but it will be the same broke morons fighting a class war for the rich, riled up using fear, ignorance, racism and bigotry.

INever 08-08-2011 11:45 PM

In the US each younger generation since the 60s has had less and less ability and/or desire to combat evil.

split_joel 08-08-2011 11:46 PM

Okay. so our generation is the most messed up to date.

My generation began in the mid 70's, at a time when the world was beginning to see more change then the last 3 generations combined. Crime was at its highest point in the past 50 years, 6 years before I was even born, and 5 years after my generation began.

Crime has come to the lowest point since about 1970 ironically since my generation become "adults".

Everyday more and more jobs are being shipped over seas, money is being cut from the education system, kids are being overly drugged on medications. My generation has been raised by a parenting system that has done more then fail.

Technology has done nothing but grow faster then ever since my generation entered the work force.

What is it that my generation had to look forward to? You call us weak, you call us lazy, you call is uneducated. Fact is, you have no right to judge us, as we have not had our chance to run the world. You have had yours and look where we are.

That at my age, I make more then most of you did, or currently do. I care more about this country then you did at this age.

I am married, and have a son both whom I work my ass off for.

Definitely true, but it was our generation that raised them that way. I had a suspicion when I was in school that a good part of the people were fucked up, as I got older I became convinced, and now we're getting the biggest generation of non-thinking plastic people the world has ever seen.

That is true but it is the people who were adults 100 years ago who allowed the USA to be sold out. They did not have the benefit of the internet in order for information to spread without going through the mainstream media filter but that is no excuse. They were just too trusting of their government and lacked the sophistication to realize they should have been on gaurd. So is their fault that we now have the most lazy, fattest and all around most ignorant group of asses to ever walk this planet.

Joel seems like a hardworking and enterprising guy so I am certainly not talking about him.

PR_Glen 08-09-2011 06:31 AM

Two things that will never change. Youth will always criticize their elders of not doing things the right way, either being too irresponsible in their younger days or too conservative in their older days. The second thing is elders will always criticize the next generation, whether they are the same or not they will say that what is coming up is far worse.

The truth is new generations are always coming up and will always have a new approach and will always have a turning point in their lives where they will grow up and realize they don't know as much as they thought when they were younger.

That's a very good point. Besides, passing on the blame like the OP is doing is one of the main reasons why we're fucked in the first place.

Turn your hats around, pull your baggy fucking pants up and get a damn job. (My priceless advise to your generation)

it is the fault of everyone over 40
however i dont believe in the kids of today, i dont see any real chaange coming from them.

Sadly, it will probably only come once our kids have tasted hunger. Once you look into your kids eyes and see hunger, then it will be time to look around to see who is really raping us. I don't think some puny national guard will save the fat cats then.

MaDalton 08-09-2011 06:56 AM

the fault it always blaming someone else - young blame old, old blame you, reps blame dems, dems blame reps, poor blame rich, rich blame poor... and so on.

no one ever takes responsibility

thanks for the laughs this morning. indigo children! lolz. how the fuck does a fucked up society due to previous generations' idiocy combined with a broken education system create indigo children? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

So you're saying if your generation was in charge, we'd blame others and accept no responsibility for ourselves, we'd not appreciate the foundations built by those who came before us, we'd spit on the sacrifices that previous generations made by going to war, establishing agencies that protect us, like the EPA, FDA, and the like.

Mutt, I must apologize with you for this but sorry, anyone under 35 could do a better job than whats being done in Canada and the states, I be leave people over 40 shouldn't be in politics period. They have grown too cold and have lost there way 90% of the time. The facts are out on the tabel every time you hear anything about politics. Check history in average age and soon on.

Out side of the few things like EPA and FDA like you said, the foundation is made outta glass and were walking with concrete boots. Is sic k to think that you think past generations (last 25 years) have done anything to benefit us, infect they have fucked us!

Theres no change cause of our weak ass parents who always told us you can fight with a pen not your fist and sayign theres nothing you can do its government is another issue. Im 26 and I have figured that out just from talking over the years with my friends. Our parents all seem to be fucking brain washed.

You cant argue of brainwashing other wise these stupid fucks who ignore there history called the republicans and there followers would never get voted in.

Corporations search for profit and the moving of a huge base of manufacturing without replacement jobs for a lot of people that didn't or can't move into IT has hurt the usa and west.

Then you see the youth against globalization, but I think most of them don't understand the problems, they just want to protest. If nothing else, protest your job leaving and leaving you unemployed, not your job being handed to child labour in unsafe / toxic working conditions.

That term was coined in the 1970's and was used to define the youth of that generation, the generation that shifted the direction of American society.

Come up with a unique term to define yourself/generation or old geezers might confuse you with their generation ;)

Personally, I don't feel anyone should categorize a whole generation because of a few people. This goes for both sides lol.

No offense but if you are making decent money and have a family you love then why do you care what people think about your generation? You are winning the game. It is a waste of energy to be upset over things like this. You seem to be fine now, if the economy goes to shit and that affects your business you will just have to work around it. If you are as strong as you say you are, I am sure you will find a way to overcome it. Based on what I have read so far, you may have become more annoyed from reading the responses to your post. Doesn't that just make your day that much worse?

I am 29, I'm not rich but I am not on the street. I have a house and can pay the mortgage every month, pets, fam, food, etc. If people think my generation sucks, that's fine. I am ok for now, and that's all I really care about. I work with those who want to work with me and things always seem to work out in the end.

Best of luck to ya man, just try to see the positive, like you mentioned yourself, you work your ass off but have a good life so enjoy it =D. I thank god every day I wasn't born as some of the poor African or Asian children forced to burn computer waste in landfills to make some change by selling the copper.

Happy Monday Folks :thumbsup
