Starting a webcam studio without money?

Hello everyone, I am new member here.

I am Full-Time Internet Marketer since last year. My main incomes are from affiliate and CPA networks, but some other sources as well. I am not earning lots of money, but it's enough for the place where I live.

Now, I am thinking of opening a webcam studio. I've done some research on this field, and I have a numbers of reasons to belive that I would go very well with this kind of business here in my country.

The question is: How to find an investor? Is it possible to make some kind of business agreement with someone who has the money to invest?

First of all, I was thinking to agree with investor that I will not earn a single penny until our studio payout all the expences for the place, equipment, bills, etc. Then we can share profit. Also, I have quite big lot behind my house, wich I can offer as my part of investment. We can build big object at this place, where girls are supposed to work. I already have 2 phone lines (one I don't use at all), and wireless network in my house if that helps.

Any advices are welcomed.

Thanks.

Starting a webcam studio without money is like stabbing yourself in the eye repeatedly with a fork. It's going to be painful. There are much better ways to make cash from $0 startup.

lagcam 08-24-2011 07:00 PM

The key is to start small.

You have internet and some place for the girl(s) to work so now all they need is a pc and a cam and you can start to make money.

One pc can support 3 girls on 8 hours shift and if the girls are good or you train them well they will generate money for you to add additional pcs and girls very quickly.

Thanks for the response. Maybe you are right, maybe I should start small.

I am open to hear more suggestions.

go to http://webcam4money.com and start a studio with us, use our traffic, our software and our bandwidth.

FlowerKid 08-24-2011 10:00 PM

The classic webcam business is already oversaturated i think.

Barry-xlovecam 08-25-2011 12:29 AM

Studio sign up

3 or more models required to be a 'studio'.

CPA37710T 08-25-2011 12:33 AM

Start with a known sponsor...

Start with only one camgirl..

Drive your own traffic..

It is most definetly possible... all you need is to be consistant and always have in mind that you wont get results any time soon when starting.. get ready to be very very patient... if you do this you'll get results, cambiz is very very profitable.

Jon Oso 08-25-2011 03:07 AM

My advice would be to find girls to work from home, or let them work out of a spare bedroom until you have it built up enough to afford a location on your own. don't deal with investors if you can get away with it, because people who don't understand the industry won't understand why you can't pay them back as fast as you think you can, because you won't be able to.

It's not as easy as it looks, and it's far more unpredictable than you would imagine.

V_RocKs 08-25-2011 03:52 AM

@ thread, A webcam studio needs more than a bed, a camera & a model... Simple & realistic extras that are a must, shower & washing facilities, a high quality, reliable broadband feed, models, location, the list goes on.. at the moment, Im almost there, but the construction work has taken much longer than was expected, due to simple facts of needing soundproof rooms, theres no point in the models & the surfers hearing the model next door :winkwink:

Our door is open & one of our rooms is almost ready, the main studio & the other live room had their doors put on today. Ive also replaced the whole shops electrics which cost must more than expected, getting into the thousands, due to insurance & fire regs....

Which brings me onto the next part for the thread, you need public liability, of which most insurance companies wont touch adult, unless you goto specialized companies, these expect high quality alarm systems due to all the computors, lighting & electics.

ICQ or skype me anytime, but bro as AdultKing said, maybe promote some more sites or new sites & make a decent earning.... could be a little more straight forward :2 cents:

Have you spent more than 6 months tirelessly working around the clock to bring an over budget cam studio nearly live? Gary has, and the rooms even have doors, so Gary should be listened to and I for one am happy to hear that he has public liability insurance.

I am sure that will come in very useful for the thousands of people daily who fall victim to cam show related injuries.....chafed penis, blistered hands, sore butt from falling off chair laughing etc. The list goes on.

Make sure there is a sign visible behind the model notifying the viewer that you have this insurance in place. Your studio will become very popular very quickly.

k0nr4d 08-27-2011 04:25 AM

Unless you already have traffic for these models and LOTS of it, don't bother..

Even if lets say you get models, and you have a place for them to perform
- If you don't have the traffic, you won't keep the models because they wont make money
- If you don't have models, the traffic you do have is useless.

I wouldn't even bother with this without alot of money in the bank, and any investor is going to question what is your part in all of this. Investor is supposed to risk $100k+, you risk nothing?

Give me & Natalie credit, first we are doing it, second its been fun & third, were almost there :thumbsup

We have our own studio, a few cam rooms, all sound proof. A wet room for hygeine, the pc room & broadband is good enough that im thinking about running our own server from here.... to do list is the gymnasium for staff, probably with livecam from there also.

Damn, I can certainly hear the sarcasm from you & I do not understand why!? I couldnt see it from currentlysober considering its straight forward, were almost there & it certainly isnt cheap, it certainly can be done but with lots of hardwork & the knowledge of the studio environment before hand.

The insurance company I went through was reasonably high in quote, this being because its a specialized insurance company and not your normal street broker. They know the career were in & know that the adult scene can be shoned upon... :2 cents:

Because you are really stupid, and think people are serious when it's suggested they ask you for cam studio help. You don't have a fucking scooby. About anything.

That is why he was being sarcastic.

Ones doesnt need to risk anything when hes the one with the idea, the will and the knownledge to pull forward.

That being said I havnt read much into this post so I have no idea if this guy can pull it off or not but atleast he has the will. A Investor to me would be someone who gets his cutt, owns part of the company and thats it. A Monthly report and what not but nobody wants some guy who knows lil about whats going on in there business.

Actually doing it will little money would be painful as you described. Doing it will no money will be painless. In a couple days the idea will be gone from his head as he had no money to try to actually do anything to take it from the "idea" stage other than make a post about it online.

Now if he actually had some money to blow, he could have wasted more time and money on this idea before it flopped.

I made similar mistakes over the years on other types or projects. Keep it simple stupid. Fix things up as you go. Launch and prove the concept works and you will be successful at it. If you keep delaying and pushing back making money to make sure your project is 100% perfect (sorry you can launch with out sound proof walls, showers etc...) then you just keep dumping money into something that you don't even know you will make a penny from.

For that matter you could have started a lot smaller or out of your home, with 1 chat host to test things. But instead, you jumped right to build full blown studios probably nicer than what some of the companies out there right now are using that are making a lot of money. Instead you went from no experience with live cam chathosts to wanting a full blown studio, from 0 - 100 with out trying to take any baby steps and learning.

Those things can be done, if need, later. Throw it together best you can, make some money, prove the concept, then fix the shit up as you go. The last thing you want to do is spend several more months of spending more money, making none, to get the building *perfect* and then flip the switch and you idea fails.

Some people get way way too caught up in the building (<- verb not noun) part, I know I was one of them. This is a combination of procrastination and being anal IMO.

Here is some more advice, be impressed with how much money your business is making not how lovely the facilities are. Classic cart before the horse. You have no idea if you will have success as a cam studio owner, you hope and continue to pour in money. You will learn that is the stupid way to manage your money (err lose it). Again, I can be critical because I learned some of these lessons the hard way. If the project fails, at the end of the day and all your savings are gone, the building gone, etc... would you rather have some of that money back or the memory of that nice wash room and sound proof walls etc.

shimmy2 08-28-2011 01:12 PM

i live in one of the poorest countries in the world where girls are relatively inexpensive and i still wouldn't start up a camgirl site in house without a LOT of capital. i can forsee too much going wrong before getting over the breakeven hump just due to inexperience. and experience costs $ theres no 2 ways about it. maybe you should just film content for a site or keep doing what you been doing

Nah, its all good bro. I have had experience in livecam from myself and my partner. Also, my first studio was a garage conversion on the side of the home. Now my partner leased a large shop of which we needed to convert several rooms, so to make them soundproof from the start was a logical approach. For us to get a few models in, get the working and then find they are annoyed with sound from the room next to it, would have been a major problem. Also, the shower is important, most models walk from studios as they obviously want to work in hygenic surroundings. We have it pretty much nearly there, now all I need is a platform to work on with our own website. This can await for my money to build from our studio using other livecam sites to begin... this is the baby step that I know is important :thumbsup
The question that im considering at the moment is whether our studio uses regular models so we can create their own solo sites also, or keeping it as different models with the possible paysite of many girls.

Argos88 08-28-2011 08:44 PM

everyone is in this webcams business... do they really make that much money?? seriously..

I tried to promote several of those webcam sponsors and they are MUCH MUCH harder to convert that any paysite with their members area available for free everywhere..

what's the secret to convert cams?? honestly.. i must be missing something here.

don't be cruel people, and try to give some advices.. I won't steal your signups if you give some advices here.

Fucking hilarious. You rented a SHOP and are turning it into a CAM STUDIO?

Last month you had built a studio yourself, and had got permission from the council to do so.

Which lie should we believe?

You are a full time internet marketer and have 0$ to invest? must suck at what you doing :)

Seriously I ran a studio in Montreal for 9 years dealed with several companies made lot of moneys at some period and less at some other. After that I got fedup of girls story recruiting etc so I stopped a good year then I got the 'brillant' idea to start something to let model work from home etc.... All I can say is that (well over here) models are 10X lazy when they work from home... when you have a studio they come in, work 6-8 hours then ciao see you tomorrow or at next shift.... now since they are home they have 13289432 reasons to fuck around.... so I'm in the dilema to open up a new studio or just give up. I like the business but at same time its a bit headache to deal with thoses girls....

Where you located Erotic Europe? I could relocate maybe :) My contacts are in my sig....

So you totally lied when you said you had built a cam studio in your garden and had got permission from the council to do this?

You're a funny fucker!

So, Nat rented a shop to do makeovers? I don't think I've ever seen a high street shop that does makeovers. And out the back when Nat has done them up you have made a cam studio where you have built walls and doors and put in showers?

All in a rented shop?

Are you drunk posting again Gary?
