The pageant concept alone is pretty shitty, but made even worse when the judges allow these kids to wear fake everything to make them look like little adults- padding the boobs and butt seems like a logical progression in that sick sad world.

I saw a documentary on it in the past. They put these little kids in fake hair, fake eyelashes, even fake teeth- they call them flippers and they go over the kids existing teeth to give them the appearance of a full set of adult teeth. IMO it really amps up the creepy factor. It seems to be less about what the kid actually looks like and more about who can cover their child in the most prosthetics and add ons. The children in these competitions are so covered in fake that they no longer resemble children. From what I've seen it seems pretty obvious they are sexualizing these little girls.

There's just something severely broken about that whole industry.

I could not agree with you more about those full glam ones though, they sexualize those girls way way way beyond their years and ability to cope. I love the clip dont know where it is a beaty pageant girl from the show about 3 or 4 is on a cam interview with her mom/pimp and the mom asks the girl something to respond to the interviewer and the girl says to the mom " I don't like you!" fucking great lol!

Now how the fuck does dance moms get away with what they do even worse, the girls are older 8 - 12 but they have cams going right btw the legs and showing cameltoe and dressed in micro bikinis and hooker outfits wtf! How is that legal, it is ovviously made for sexual gratification, so there is no way they can claim excepmtion for it not being porn etc. The routines on general in the previews i saw are straight up stripper routines, and showing everything!

pageant aside, I think people are making a huge deal about the "fake breasts" etc... basically sensationalizing it for way more than it really is. Get a grip! She's dressed up to mimic Dolly Parton for a number. She isn't being flaunted around in fake breasts for the beauty pageant itself.

Chica watches those shows all the time and i can't stand them. i'm sure the pedos love them...
