i created dupe content, best way to remove?

hi on my site i created a dupe content directory and i got caught with a google penalty. what is best way to remove?
robots? 301 redirects?
how long do you think it will come back?

you can confuse the google bot by creating triplicate content.

will take 18 days for your site to recover after that.

you can do a robots.txt exclusion for sure. your going to get dinged - if you get dropped from google and its a massve traffic loss, you can ask for a reconsideration for inclusion. be sure to keep a close eye and submit a sitemap that has all corrections in GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS

Just fuck over the other site with your robots.txt file.
Code:

User-agent: Googlebot
Wasfirst: this_site
Duplicate: http://[URL-OF-THE-OTHER-SITE]

If there are several other copies just add more Duplicate: lines.

robots.txt is the easiest if it's contained in a directory. A redirect is better but that will probably require more work.

payment by epass ... and to the original post, man, have luck ... if most of the traffic come from seo and bookmarkers are not much, just make another domain and dont implement the previous mistakes. waiting for google and losing traffic may be for months, new domain in google may be up in few weeks ... :2 cents:
