Is Blackberry Email Secure?

Is it safe or can people grab your email password easily when you access email via blackberry?

Theres a blackberry with type and touch and I really like the look of it but I doubt its going to save RIM now that the new Iphone is out - RIM is gonna get squashed.

Blackberry is the ONLY phone platform that is military-grade encrypted ...

Try having your Sys Admin (at a large company with trade secrets) sync your iPhone or Android phone to your work email servers .... THEY WONT DO IT!!

Even Obama uses a BlackBerry ... albeit a specially modified one with crazy extra security ... but still there is a reason why it is on the BlackBerry network ..

I have used BlackBerry ever since it was a Monochrome dedicated push email device ... the early BlackBerry had no phone!!

The security issue is big for me ... I send login details and passwords to clients quite often, and some of my mainstream corporate clients are GLOBAL ...

Security is about the only thing BlackBerry has going for it these days ... the competition has pretty much left them in the dust in all other areas ....

actually RIM operates a separate network for that network and its not part of the traditional network that everyday consumor/business BB's run on.

And obamas BB was given to him after the NSA did their work on it. BB is not some god device it just has a special purpose/use in life.

it is secure if your running your own server if your using the servers from verizon whatever all your emails are being saved and stored by verizon just in case...........

I would never trust BLACK BERRY..

The company has a parallel department monitoring all BLACK BERRIES users 24/7..

you could find out when UK riots happened, BLACK BERRY CEO gave all the data to James Cameron..

They are true nazis with a special monitoring department inside the company that monitors 24/7 every single black berry in the world with a special software.

Actually .... this is where you have not done your homework.

BOTH BlackBerry's BIS and BES servers are encrypted, and have proprietary compression algorythms. try downloading a several hundred MB video file on a BB, and download the same file with an iPhone, and compare the data usage ...

Yes I did state that Obama's BB was not a right out-of-the-box BlackBerry .... but it is still worthy of noting that it is a BLACKBERRY ... and not a HTC Desire or a NOKIA N9, or even an iPhone ...

Big Business uses Blackberrys .... you do not see company CEOs using Android or iPhones ...

During NHL Hockey Drafts .... they all have Blackberrys ... not iPhones ... not Androids.

I know a couple of ceo's that run larger 100mil+ revenue companies and they use an iphone.
