Today's Porn and the Online Experience

I am not sure if I just picked a number of high ranking porn sites from the search engines incorrectly, or this is what today's porn has come to represent, but it's no wonder that some company's and affiliate revenue is down.

This who thing had started with me looking for a particular clip of Katie Morgan early this morning, and after stumbling across a few new ideas I kept going forward to "check out the competition" as the saying goes. What I found was almost comical.

For each new porn search term, I would pull up the top 10 sites in the SERPS and how anyone can convert on these sites is frankly beyond me. I am trying to watch a clip, and there are 5 other web cam, or profile things, or so on all going off at the same time. On some of the sites, you do not get to actually "see" anything (even teaser) without entering your details. On others, you can't close out all of the floating boxes and pop ups that are going off the whole time. If you click through a few dozen TGP's, you are bounced again and again, never seeing the picture you want no matter how many times you click it. Each new redirect popping up 5 more windows to close and shit.

In all, I spent a few hours and probably went through 100 different "ranked" sites for various porn search terms. These are the top of the litter according to SERPS? Who the fuck can concentrate on jerking off when you have 5 different windows all going off at once?!?!?

No wonder people are on GFY complaining about low sales on a daily basis. Damn.

Rinse and repeat. Popups galore and hope that people see something they like and buy. It's a vicious cycle of bullshit. There was a time not long ago that anything popping up or laying over was frowned upon. Notice as sales decreased over time due to whatever, as a whole the rules have changed?

Google doesn't give a fuck about porn. "free porn" is ruled by tubes because that's what it is. It's what people are searching. And they are rightfully doing so.

Fuck these fake IMs popping up in the corner or LiveJasmine showing up as soon as a load or click on something on a page. Surfers are getting more and more savvy by the day. Sooner or later those same savvy surfers are going to create what they want to see and put a bunch of you greedy mother fuckers out of a job.

There are two extremes what you experienced and what a saavy porn consumer (not purchaser) experiences. The saavy porn consumer has his handful of tubes that he knows will have what he's looking for, free, decent jerkable quality and usually more choice than he's looking for.

Here is an example. When we were running SexTube some girl named Hitomi was killing on views. So i thought who is this girl?
I go to YouJizz
http://www.youjizz.com/search/hitomi-1.html

I go to xvideos
http://www.xvideos.com/?k=hitomi

URGE SATISFIED :1orglaugh:1orglaugh

I don't even know what site she's on. Where the content is from. I just know she has big ass tits and long ass videos and the site owners aren't active in policing their content.

The craziest thing is when I was breaking into the biz the most a free site made was a few million a year. That was the upper level any free site could hope to hit until tubes came along. Now you have some tubes doing a million profit a month. It's mind blowing.

I am not complaining necessarily about "free porn".

I am saying this amounts to me trying to jerk off with the tornado siren going off, the police wailer in my driveway, a marching band going through the living room, every neighbor's dog barking simultaneously, etc..
