Always looking for documentaries but open to just about anything, as long as it's gooood. :thumbsup Let's hear em, what're ya watchin?

Profits of Doom 10-03-2011 08:39 PM

Just started watching Breaking Bad on Netflix Instant, and I'm fucking hooked. I'm starting season 2 and it's hard to believe the lead character was the dad from Malcolm in the Middle...

I just started Breaking Bad also, I'm on about episode 20. Awesome show :)

DigitalTheory 10-03-2011 08:41 PM

Breaking bad is bad ass :)

bronco67 10-03-2011 08:43 PM

Horror movies that are exceptional...

Triangle -- it could be classified as horror, but mostly it will fuck with your mind. A really underrated and unknown movie, but its great.(just found out they moved it DVd only, sorry)

The Baby's Room -- good Spanish horror movie.

Bronson is pretty good also.

For documentaries, check out "Vice Guide to Travel" series.

I watch Netflix almost every day, but somehow I haven't watched a movie in months. Just mostly documentaries and TV series I get into I guess. If someone could suggest some good movies to watch that would be great.

They should have a trailer for each movie available for streaming, the dvd covers and quick plot explanation they give you on xbox 360 just don't get me interested enough to start watching any movies.

WTF that's the dad from Malcolm in the Middle?? Didn't even realize that.. I've watched the first 2 episodes so far and it's definitely different. Can't wait to watch some more.

Wait until you get to the current season(4). The last 3 episodes have been some of the most intense shit I've ever seen in a TV show.

Argos88 10-03-2011 08:45 PM

netflix?? wtf??

man, you dont have to pay for anything.. I have never ever paid one cent for movies.. they are all free.. only a dumb person would pay..

thats why blockbuster is broken hahahaha...

It literally took me 20 seconds into the first episode to hook me in. As soon as I saw his pants flying in the air I was thinking "what the fuck?", and it just keeps getting better.

As far as documentaries I pretty much watch them all, but unfortunately the best one I have seen in a LONG time is only available on their DVD service, "Religulous" from Bill Maher. I'm no Bill Maher fan but they way he questioned every major religion was fucking brilliant...

If I hadn't heard an interview he did on Opie and Anthony a few weeks back I would have never guessed it. He really is a brilliant fucking actor, talk about 2 entirely different characters...

Me too. Up to episode 25. I saw too many people here mention it too much to not watch. Tried catching this season on demand but was lost so I started at square one.

Jay: Something I watched that was slow but still very thought provoking was The American Ruling Class.

Quote:

This inventive, mildly fictionalized documentary follows noted editor Lewis Lapham as he introduces two Ivy League graduates to America's elite in an effort to examine the role of class and moneyed privilege in American democracy. With stops at the Pentagon, posh Manhattan parties and more, Lapham encounters luminaries -- including James Baker III and Walter Cronkite -- who each share their perspectives on America's ruling class.

I never watch older tv episodes on Netflix, but you guys have convinced me to give this show a try.

agentspits 10-03-2011 10:32 PM

Breaking Bad is definitely worth starting on Netflix and getting to the current season when you're able to. This season has been wild. Can't wait for the finale!

it looks like the trend shows that only a small percentage of people pay.. they are dumb..

thats why blockbuster is broken or why 99% of adult webmasters are dead broken..

:1orglaugh

anyway, there is thepiratebay or google search for movies+torrent

or cuevana.com...

just sayin.

I know you're always whining about conversions, but is it really that bad that you can't afford $8/month? Obviously you must be including yourself in the group of adult webmasters that are broke. I don't think 25 million Netflix paying subscribers is a small %.

netflix sucks.. it has all old movies comparing to what we can get at the pirate bay or isohunt.

of course there are alway ignorants who will pay, but thats a very small group of people, speciall yin USA where people are always "afraid" and "scared" and brain washed..

thats why you pay for itunes, lol. .when you can get all free and faster and better.. :1orglaugh

and anyway, I already said that only a small % of my money comes from adult.. I survive thansk to mainstream..

but what about you? You are not doing 10K per month anymore and having a very hard time right now to survive in this..

lazycash 10-03-2011 11:32 PM

I'm doing well enough that I can afford to pay $8/month.

kane 10-03-2011 11:49 PM

If you haven't seen the show Damages yet they have the first two seasons on streaming. It is amazing.

Barefootsies 10-04-2011 05:36 AM

I have been watching a lot of "food industry" documentaries lately.

Scary stuff.

I discovered "Community" and freakin' love it.

One of the most hilarious TV shows I've seen since Arrested Development.

Yep, saw that one. I have watched almost all of them available now. I think there are only 2-3 left in my instant queue. I just watched, "The Future of Food" yesterday. Scary shit.

Yeah there are lots of them and most of them are really good. Amazing how much of that info never gets out to the mainstream masses, yet could have a dramatic impact on people's quality of life.

definitely hooked though, Breaking Bad is fucking awesome.

Why would they have it? It's still on its run on AMC, and DVD's don't come out until the next season is eminent. So it'll be a year before it comes out.

How ironic. Right as I'm reading this thread I get an email from Netflix asking about the video quality of ThanksKilling :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Of course the picture and audio quality SUCKED but it had nothing to do with Netflix LOL

I realize that. My point was I just finished season 3 and it suks that I missed half of season 4.

Plus half the episodes aren't available on itunes unless you do the $35 season pass crap.

anyone know another place to catch up on season 4?

I loved Cabin Fever. Apparently Eli Roth wrote that movie while being a security guard outside of Howard Stern's hotel room man years ago. Howard would come outside and ask him what he was working on... Eli would kindly reply with "Oh just some horror movie" which ultimately ended up being Cabin Fever and now Eli is worth tons of dough. At the time Howard recalled thinking to himself "this guy is going nowhere" lol.

I saw they added The Walking Dead to insta-watch. I liked that series quite a bit, anyone know when the new season starts?

*edit* btw almost none of those movies are on insta watch for me? Hmmmm
