Job's didnt do it nor did Gate's.. it was a team of people at Xerox (PARC team), they also did the first user GUI and much of the work behind the first Mac GUI and OS *same goes for Windows other then Gates fucking some poor dude out of the basics for the OS by landing a deal for an OS he did not own then going out and paying $50,000 for it.

Now if you are talking track ball mouse that was long before.. 1950's made by the Canadian Navy.
