Here is south florida, a pitt just attacked a child.
The owners had to shoot it to get it off of the girl.

By the way it was the girls dog.

from google news today http://www.news-journalonline.com/ne...r-old-boy.html

FLAGLER BEACH -- A black-and-white pitbull attacked a 5-year-old boy on Bulow Woods Circle on Oct. 3, according to a sheriff's report.

The homeowner was inside when he heard his wife and son "screaming in the front yard." He looked outside to see the dog on top of his son, biting him on his legs and "dragging him across the front yard."

The boy was transported by ambulance to the hospital to be treated for several bite wounds to his calf and a puncture wound on his foot.

Who cares ... Charge the dog owners ... Do not put down a entire breed over a few ...

You're a clown and a coward ... Pitbull terriers and you are like oil and water ...

Perhaps we can interest you in a Pekingese ?

Perfect for a control freak coward like yourself ... :)

They are esentially the same dog although some people will argue that he bloodlines have been seperate for too long to be considered the same breed anymore. American Staffordshire Terriers are dual-registered as American Pit Bull Terriers with the UKC, the AKC, on the other hand, does not allow a UKC-registered American Pit Bull Terrier to be registered as an American Staffordshire Terrier.

this just proofs he didt not attack kid at this time...

VikingMan 10-08-2011 11:39 AM

The best thing any parent can do is to teach their kids to be able to approach a dog properly. Dogs are just like porn whores in that they can smell fear and are more likely to attack. Approach with confidence and they will treat you much better.

oh the poooor baby!

twistyneck 10-08-2011 12:59 PM

That dog looks nervous and unsure about the baby. Look at its body language, it looks like it doesn't want to be around the baby at all, it feels cornered.

you should learn to read dogs body langauge better, notice the wagging tail, if it were concerned or nervous the tail would either be between it's legs or perked up and not wagging. That dog's actions are exactly what I would expect from a pit bull as they are generally friendly by nature.

cooldude7 10-09-2011 12:25 AM

It's quite obvious that many have no understanding of a Pit Bull's body language ...
Pit Bull Terriers are not pets for everyone ... :2 cents:
Especially the hyper aggressive control freak macho he-men cowards that frequent this board ... :)

the big problem is that most people believe any BS the media chooses to publish, weather it's true or not. I believe that if you did any research into many of the pit bull attacks that the media reports on you would find out that the dog in question is probably not a pit bull or the dog was prevoked in some way, or both, intentional or not the dog does not know the difference. Most dogs attack out of fear. 99% of the people that meet my pit bull don't know that he is a pit bull so if he attacked someone how could they tell with any sort of accuracy what type of dog he is? Regardless of the breed the owner should be held responsible if their dog attacks someone.

You are right pit bulls are not for everyone, but the same could be said for any large breed of dog, remember dogs are not fashion accessories

bronco67 10-09-2011 07:44 AM

If the pitbull's owner is a sweetheart, then the pitbull will be a sweetheart. The problem with the pitbull breed is that it mostly attracts douchey owners that have no business raising a dog.

Best-In-BC 10-09-2011 08:16 AM

In the US alone there is over 60 million pitbulls, thats 10x any other breed, if you look at the numbers and compare them to how many are around, pitbulls tend to look not soo bad.

Crystal Scripts 10-09-2011 08:22 AM

Why these dogs are not wearing a sweater? These dogs are illegal!

GAMEFINEST 10-09-2011 09:50 AM

I was actually reffering to the Staffordshire Bull Terrier not an American Staffordshire Terrier

Redrob 10-09-2011 10:46 AM

Meanest dog I ever saw was a chihuaha named "Taco".

Big pretty eyes, and a bite like a Singer sewing machine.
