Mexico city's police force held for investigation
MONTERREY, Mexico (AP) ? The entire police force of the northern Mexico city of Linares is being held for investigation of possible corruption and ties to organized crime. Mexican soldiers and Nuevo Leon state police are patrolling instead.
The detention of more than 100 officers comes after a rise in kidnapping and extortion in the area. A series of investigations in other towns already has put hundreds of officers in custody. Linares Mayor Francisco Medina Quintanilla told Milenio Television on Sunday that his city's police officers were put on buses and driven to another town. They will held there by state investigators while they are investigated. Linares is about 75 miles (120 kilometers) southeast of the northern industrial city of Monterrey. :helpme :helpme :helpme |
Wow. What a loaded way to phrase that.
Its a city in Northern Mexico. Not Mexico cities police. they arrested 47 of 48 cops. |
Exactly.... I thought it was Mexico City also.

If it was actually Mexico City i'd say game over on that shit, but that's bad enough.

It's a real tragedy what's happening down there. The number of murders related to drug trading is staggering. Rapidly approaching our total deaths in Vietnam with no end in sight.

At least the attention is on the cartel and not Gus.

If they arrested 47 out of 48 cops it's easy to see who the rat in that sewer is. He'll be dead soon.
