All in One SEO vs Yoast

Which one is better to use than the other...All in one SEO or Yoast?

Yoast FTW

Both are only as good as your knowledge of SEO and how to configure them.

I use Yoast for everything wordpress and have done for years, gives fast results and allows you to custom write your serp result snippets.

Yoast = Easy Money. :thumbsup

If there is something better I'm yet to see/use it,the results I'm getting are so good you'd have a hard time convincing me to change without lots of measurable evidence.

I've used All in One everytime I build but I heard something about Yoast and figured I might give it a try. Thanks for the feedback! :thumbsup

1. Yoast
2. Ultimate SEO
3. All in One SEO Pack

in that order.

google can identify if you are using those and penalize your site accordingly.

So you are saying it is best to not use any of these? Does anyone else agree with porno jew? I thought it would help for sure and not hurt. Any feedback?

I guess it depends on how they penalize you.

I have a site where my traffic continues to go up month after month, my SE results are strong, and yet my PR just dropped by 1. At the end of the day, I care about traffic and SE results. If Google is penalizing me by lowering my PR for using SEO plugins, at this point, I'm not overly concerned. :2 cents:

All the mainstream bloggers with huge sites all use somekind of SEO plugin so I'm guessing they aren't as bad as they are made out to be

I used all in on SEO but recently switched to Yoast and I love it

Please be more specific in your Post title next time... Putting in that it was for Wordpress will help this be a better/real business board.

cooldude7 10-11-2011 10:56 PM

i m gonna try yoast

Goldmaniacs 10-11-2011 11:00 PM

do you still need to use an xml sitemap plugin with yoast?

Could you give some real world examples of this please ?.

I went from all in one seo to Yoast and found better results. You have to have a good understanding of SEO to really maximize your tools.

As far as I can see they are not cheating in any way - They just make it easier to put in what should be there in the first place, and optimize it. I thought Google wanted good descriptions, relevant keywords, a robots.txt that made sense and a good sitemap.

Why would Google not like that?

CaptainWolfy 10-12-2011 03:45 AM

yoast plug in is a pice of garbage that only can make your blog drop in serps, i use totally different combination of plugins than any of you mentioned above and get great results. Yoast is only good for new blogs that are just growing and nothing else!

fris 10-12-2011 04:28 AM

i would pick yoast

I got few blogs with 5-7k uniqs from google traffic and on recommendation i installed yoast plugin and setup it. I was thinking it's great plugin i used only that one instead of 3 plugins ( for sitemp etc.. ) than the night mare came along. Traffic started dropping pretty fast, i tough it's ok i will give it few months till google go trough my sites crawl them again etc.. 2 months passed by sites that had 5-7 k went to 2k daily traffic from se-s, so i uninstalled that piece of garbage put my old plugins and in 2 weeks sites went back to 5-7k traffic daily, do you need more explaining?!
I gave it another test afterwards got 2 new domains installed my usual setup of plugins on one and on the other i installed yoast plugin, same theme, similar keywords etc..
The first one now after 6 months has around 1k daily traffic, the other one with youast plugin has 300-400uniqs daily..
