What do you do with unused domains?

Any tips to squeeze out $9/y without much work per domain? Got gambling, mainstream and some adult ones

I was thinking about putting a single page on each one with some related info there, then to crosslink them, possibly would squeeze out $9/y that way

Or is it better to cut the crap and properly (more or less) develop each of them?

It pays to develop each of them. Websites, like Rosie O'Donnell, can have a second chance to profitability.

it takes like 5 minutes to throw up an ad and money making links and do the first thing you said.... then while they sit like that and ripen in the se's you figure out what next...

tip of the century right there. :upsidedow

Right... but most of the domains aren't suitable for adsense so I'd have to do lots of signing up here and there and that's more than 5 minutes

Gotta find something that pays for clicks and doesn't care if it's gambling or porn

I was also thinking about putting lots of whitelabel stuff and crosslinking related ones

Casinos for gambling domains
Score feeds and bookies for sports
Tubes for porn domains
Template shops for graphics and design

here is what i was doing till date.,

if a domain cant make 9 bucks in a year then ill let it drop.,

but you can do a wpmu setup with domain mapping., and install soime autoblogging shit., so ,
in near future if u plan to sell it., it would affect the price., coz google likes to crawl and index.

i squeeze out a nice wet 'mini' poo onto them...

i like poo... :2 cents:

A nice clean ad and one link to a paying sponsor can make you way more than click money if done right... I don't push gambling so no suggestions for that. Hell you could sell shit on amazon and make money though.... hmmm giving me ideas. lol thanks :winkwink:

RandyD 10-15-2011 06:18 AM

Throw up a nubiles tube script site on it- load it up with some sponsor flvs

I mostly let them to expire.I had many nice domains, some even 15 years old,but no point to keep them if you have no clue what to do with them.Especially considering i was renewing all domains before and now i see how it was waste of money.

Fletch XXX 10-15-2011 06:38 AM

You let 15yr old domains expire?

wtf is wrong with you :error:eek7

Build 1 page sites with a banner and some relevant text. Then let it sit and hope you get a sale or two out of it at least. I wouldn't waste time with white labels. What differentiates you from everyone else doing it? Besides them having traffic and not you? Waste of time. I also wouldn't waste time with wp if I wasn't going to update it on the regular. One page sites will convert if done right. This is what I've done in the past.

Get a template that you like. Build it out and upload and done. Easy as that.

Thank you, I am going to go with that. Sort of came to same conclusion over the weekend while stacking firewood in a shed =)

If your goal is to simply pay the renewal fee every year and at some point sell at a profit, in my not so humble opinion your time might be spent on your money making sites you already have.

Denny 10-17-2011 01:29 AM

Just let them expire.
